Hi Karen and Andrew, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re Andrew and Karen – high school sweethearts turned husband-and-wife creative team. After 18 years of marriage, we’ve built a thriving photography business together, capturing unforgettable moments for clients all over the world. Now, we’re taking our creativity in a new direction – sharing our lives, laughs, and lessons through content creation. Whether it’s behind the camera or in front of it, we love inspiring others, making people smile, and proving that building a life you love is the ultimate creative project
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not.
When we started our photography business, it wasn’t easy. We faced all the usual struggles – trying to find our first clients, figuring out how to price our work, and wearing all the hats: photographer, editor, marketer, accountant… you name it. There were seasons when we were overworked, exhausted, and questioning if we’d ever “make it.”
But we kept pushing. We invested in education, refined our style, and built a reputation that turned our business into something thriving and sustainable.
Now, stepping into content creation has brought a whole new set of challenges – learning how to grow on social media, dealing with algorithm changes, creating videos consistently, and opening up more of our personal lives online. It’s scary sometimes, but we love the chance to connect with more people, share our marriage journey, and make people laugh while still inspiring other creatives
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We create high-end, fine art portraits that focus on celebrating women and life’s most meaningful moments. We’re best known for our luxury maternity and women’s portrait sessions, where we craft a full experience — from concept and wardrobe styling to final artwork.
But one of the things we’re most proud of is pioneering underwater portrait photography. It’s a very niche art form that we’ve spent years perfecting — from lighting and posing techniques to safety and storytelling — to create images that feel weightless, magical, and cinematic. Karen was one of the pioneers to start underwater portrait photography and the niche wouldn’t be where it is today without her
What really sets us apart is how personal and intentional we are with every shoot. We don’t just take pictures — we create artwork that’s designed to empower and move people.
For Our Content Creation
Our content is basically “us, unfiltered.” We share the funny, real moments of being married for almost two decades — the playful teasing, the little arguments, the sweet moments, and the chaos of building a business together. People always tell us it feels like they’re just hanging out with us when they watch.
We mix humor, romance, and inspiration, so it’s not just entertainment — it’s a reminder that long-term love can be exciting and full of laughter. And we like to sprinkle in business and creative tips too, so other entrepreneurs feel encouraged to keep going.
What has always set us apart in anything we do is our ability to show the raw and real of life.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Number one is work ethic. Being able to outwork anyone else has been a key to our success.
Number two is if you want to accomplish something do not let setbacks or failures to stop you. When others normally would quit it means it’s time for you to keep going.
Number three is focus on doing work you are proud of.
