Today we’d like to introduce you to Katelynn King
Hi Katelynn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started singing and writing when I was 8 years old. I used to write little songs on the cover pages of old books at my grandmas house. I remember I used to have little talent shows with my family at our house. Some of my family member’s recommended I go try out for the voice or American idol but it never came to that. My grandfather gifted me 2 guitars when I was around 15 but I unfortunately ended up selling the guitars for a dumb reason when I was 18. I lost touch with music for some years but I’m now 23, and I’ve been in the studio making music for a few months now. I’m getting my voice back and I’ve got 3 guitars now so I’m quickly learning it again. I’ve got 2 singles out now and I’ve got an album coming out 5/5/25.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Writing songs has been coming naturally to me. The only struggle I’m facing is lyric diversity. I’ve only ever listened to either heavy metal rock or sad pop music so when I try and make an upbeat song, or uplifting song, it’s hard to find the words.

Besides making music, I’m also a videographer. Shooting music videos was my passion for a few years but music is slowly taking over it. I haven’t picked up a camera in a while.
