Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Adams.
Katrina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
KMA Event Planning was established for my love of decorating and planning. I soon learned about blogging opportunities and wanted to do it all under one umbrella. This led to the birth of my food blog, In the Kitchen w/KMarie. I love cooking, decorating, planning and anything which fosters creativity! Hospitality work is special to me and helped me start KMarie, LLC. One of my favorite quotes is “Creativity is Intelligence having fun”, Albert Einstein.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road; most things worthwhile are not. However, I continue to work hard and persevere because my hard work will pay off in due time!! I learned to chase the passion and not the profit!! Your passion will turn into profit if you don’t give up!!
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am food blogger, cookbook author, as well as an event planner. I published my first cookbook last year Knocking Out Cancer in The Kitchen, which is on Amazon. Baking is highlighted as my specialty on my blog! One of my proudest moments was winning 1st place for a creative, No Bake Dessert contest for Taste of Home magazine in 2019. My fun bubbly personality, and flare for creativity sets me apart from others.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 10 years, I envision an industry which will emphasize tradition being challenged by creativity. The futuristic industry and paradigm will shift more towards originality and creativity. My personal vision in the next decade is to have several published books, a well-known successful “brand”, and so much more.
