Meet Keandra Barry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keandra Barry.

Hi Keandra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started being an entrepreneur when I was about 29. I started writing which been a major part of my life since I was young. I decided I wanted to finish something being a Gemini I be all-over the place with so many ideals. I write my first two books in I was so excited. Then I bought a bus to transform into party bus business but the city doesn’t allow that in this area… I had to think of something else quickly so I did a transportation business but COVID hit soon as I got my LLC for the business. Now that COVID was easing up, I wanted to start a clothing boutique so that’s what I did. Slowly coming along. I’m driven to make things happen to benefit my children in the future, with more guidance and mentorship, I will make it to the top. I have four children and a husband. I lost two brothers. I have been through a lot in what pushes me to be something is myself. I want to live a long happy positive life. I love to give back to the community and push children into being their higher selves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No way, this road has been failure after failure. F.A.i.L = First Attempt At Learning right… I have had so many sleepless nights, my brother got diagnosed with brain cancer 2017, passed away May 20, 2019, son went to jail December 31, 2019, buried my auntie months later. Through it all. I stayed busy and writing out my goals and started knocking them down one by one. That was the only way to stay a little sane.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work for intermin Healthcare as a PCA, I do substitute teaching on the side. I have two associate degrees both in medical. I graduate 2003 for Waukegan High School. I am the owner of Black-key’s Empire LLC. I’m in the process of becoming a party equipment rental company.

I also own a boutique called Keandra’s Closet. I have a game on the playstore called Janito. I am an author in own several Books.

What does success mean to you?
I define success as writing a plan out, taking action, and making it t happen. Although money and the congratulations are helpful, it’s the passion and hardwork you put in. You appreciate it more when you work hard at something you believe in.
