Meet Ke’Asia Munford of THE🟡KNIKOLE🧊EXPERIENCE🟢 in Stone Mountain (Dekalb County)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ke’Asia Munford.

Ke’Asia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hair has always been one of those things I was interested but couldn’t see myself doing for a living……. until I moved here to GA in 2015 after my mom passed away. I started my career at empire beauty school at Northlake in 2016 and completed the program in 2017 but being that I didn’t take my exam within 2 years of graduating I was thankful to only have to complete 750 hour at pro way hair school so that now I can take my board exam. I’ve been doing hair off and on since 2016 and have been in multiple salons. 2019 was my first year just doing hair consistently without working other part time jobs and I hope to continue that. I am where I am today because of God, hard work, Faith, and my family. God is amazing, he’s on time and I’m just trusting the process. Great things are getting ready to take place in my life this season. I’m definitely working on exciting projects to grasp and keep the people’s attention 💙

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road.
. I had a baby (single mom life)
. Not having my mom here with me
. I went to cosmetology school twice and graduated twice.
.no transportation (catching lyft everywhere with a baby)
.feeling alone (no immediate family with me (mom, grandma, or brother)
.building my clientele
.trying to make money and keep money.

THE🟡KNIKOLE🧊EXPERIENCE🟢 – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The name of my business is KNIKOLE HAIR STUDIO LLC. In KNIKOLE (k) is for my first name which starts with a k (Nikole) is actually my middle name which is really spelled NICOLE but I charge the c into a k because k‘s are really special to me. I’m Hairstylist who specializes in healthy haircuts and color but mostly known for my glueless quickweave bobs or lace closure installs. As a young black business owner and single mom, I am most proud of the overwhelming support I receive from my clients who understand my struggle and my passion but loyal enough to still choose me. My Unmatched personality and my amazing customer service is what sets me apart from others I really do cater to my clients and make them feel as safe and welcoming as possible.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I don’t believe in good and bad luck. I believe in GOD!
