Hi Keianna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I entered the entrepreneurship world in 2017 with a crafting / event planning business and repairing credit. After accomplishing two of my goals, in 2018 I started researching and learning the perks on business credit and it changed my whole outlook on credit overall. After trial and error, grinding, researching, and going through mentorship programs, etc. I could not get business credit out of my head. I’ve helped over 100+ families get cars, homes, etc. but I couldn’t find that passion in repairing personal credit like I had when I first started because it became draining and time-consuming. I still have my event planning business now, K3 Elegant Designz, that’s still flourishing. I seen, felt and knew that my passion was decorating and planning events, helping other entrepreneurs start their own company(s), building business credit, and maintaining it.
I began researching about small business startups and the trucking industry back in 2018 when my husband decided to leave the plant life and get his CDL. 2019 is when I originally birthed my baby K3’s Consulting. K3’s Consulting is a trucking consultant and business solution consultant firm that offers education and guidance for those looking to break into the trucking industry and offer dispatching services without owning a truck. I decided to do what I love and that was helping other entrepreneurs start their own company(s), I’ve been in the industry since 2019 and hitting 6 figures in a year in 2020. I’ve helped over 100+ small business owners structure their business properly as well as establish their business credit. I’ve taught over 150+ people to become dispatchers in the trucking industry the correct and honest way without owning their own truck but instead owning their own dispatching company, I’ve revealed gems in the trucking industry that others are hesitant to reveal.
Being a business consultant and trucking consultant is my passion and I love what I do! I can’t wait to be able to share more gems and help more small businesses throughout the years to come!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. One of my biggest problems faced was my academy. I didn’t know how to put the plan in motion but I had the idea. When first starting off I could help others but procrastinated on myself which put me in a bad situation. I had to reach out to my business bestie / VA (Kim) to help me get myself together by motivating and basically everything I wanted for my academy to put it in writing and make it come alive. Probably the next biggest challenge of entrepreneurship was figuring out what kind of product or service to offer. I had to research and research and see exactly what would guide me easily to help others and help me flourish within my business. Don’t get me wrong, I still face challenges till this day, what company don’t but it’s nothing I can’t get over with team on my side.
