Meet Keishly Rivera of Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency Cobb County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keishly Rivera.

Hi Keishly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ever since I was a child, I dreamt of owning my own business. Throughout all of the career paths that I imagined pursuing, it always involved owning a business. For example, when I wanted to be a veterinarian, my end goal was to owe my own practice; when I wanted to become a teacher, I wanted to work towards having my own daycare. It is safe to say that I always had an entrepreneur mentality. As a freshman in college, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Applied Behavioral Analysis, I began working as a Nanny for Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency in Gainesville, FL. I always had a passion for working with children. Being raised by a single mother, I understood the importance of having a trustworthy individual to take care of your children and the responsibility that came with it, I took on that role and had the pleasure of touching so many little one’s lives during my time as a Nanny. I saw the positive effect that Twinkle Toes had on both the parents and nannies, which led me to pursue an administrative position. I was promoted to Assistant Manager to our Tampa, FL branch. There is where I truly began understanding what it takes to make Nanny-family connections and the true impact that we have on our community. It was such a rewarding experience being a part in providing exceptional and hassle-free childcare for our clients; It became clear that this was my passion and that I wanted to own my own franchise. When the opportunity arose to purchase the Cobb County branch, I did not hesitate. Throughout my years, I have learned the importance of communication, respect, kindness, and dedication to better serve our families and nannies. It is my honor to serve the Cobb County residents.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The past few years have of course been difficult for everyone. For us, the nationwide labor shortage really affected our recruitment. There was a time that we had a seven weeks waiting list. It was really difficult to have clients reach out and not be able to meet their needs, especially those than needed care as soon as possible. Thankfully we have turned a corner and with some new recruitment techniques application rates are increasing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Twinkle Toes was established in 2011 in Gainesville, FL, by our founder Kristy Bickmeyer whom couldn’t find a local nanny service for her own children. We now proudly have 18 franchises across Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Idaho. Twinkle Toes nannies are screened far beyond industry standards. All of our nannies are fully screened and have passed a criminal background check, a civil background check, social security number verification, driving record check, and are CPR and First Aid certified for infants and children. We conduct interviews as well as reference screening, and all of our nannies are required to have a minimum of three years of experience.

Unlike other agencies in the area, our clients never pay a placement fee, application fee, or membership fee. They simply pay for the hours that they use our services. Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency provides a range of nanny services to fit family’s needs. We offer in-home nanny care on a full-time or part-time basis, babysitting services, as well as after school care, mothers helper care, and event sitting. In addition, we offer backup babysitting services for current clients whose nanny may be unavailable for their scheduled shift or new clients that may have a last minute need for childcare services.

The best part of Twinkle Toes is knowing that we are able to reduce the stress felt by families in finding reliable childcare. Our families trust us to provide hassle-free, high-quality, reliable childcare. We are proud to be Second to Mom!

What matters most to you?
What matters to me the most is family. I believe that either your biological or chosen family can get you through the most difficult of times. Without my family, I would not be the person that I am today. I am extremely grateful for those who helped guide me throughout my journey, especially my mother. This is why I take pride in my work, Nannies become an extended part of a family and help guide, teach, protect and love their nanny kids.
