Meet Kelley Fuller of Rome

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelley Fuller.

Hi Kelley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
What started as “I love to travel… I wonder if I can get better deals?” has turned into a full-blown career I absolutely adore. I jumped into the travel world last January, and once I started planning trips for others, I realized—oh wow, this is my thing.

By day, I run my travel business. By night, I’m a nurse, which basically means I take care of people 24/7… just in different ways. I meet so many folks who love to explore, and it’s been such a joy helping first-time cruisers turn into “Okay Kelley, where can you send me next?” repeat travelers.

Honestly? This doesn’t feel like a job. It feels like a hobby someone decided to pay me for—and I’m not complaining one bit!

I started in a small office in downtown Rome, but I wanted to bring my business closer to home and make it even more helpful for travelers. So… I’m leveling up! I’m opening a new local office that not only books your dream vacation but also stocks all the fun “you’re really going on vacation!” goodies—
Cruise lanyards
Beach accessories
Luggage
Fans (because nobody wants to melt in the Bahamas)
…and more on the shelves soon!

We’re renovating the cutest little building in my hometown, and I cannot wait to welcome everyone inside. I’ve booked travel from right here in Georgia all the way to New York, and nothing makes me happier than helping someone pull off a dream vacation—especially on a tight budget.

Another big perk coming to the new office? Passport services! It’s been desperately needed around here, so I’m thrilled to make it easier for people to get their documents and jet-set.

None of this would be happening without the push and love from my best friend, Nan Winkelman, my incredible travel coach, Jen Sellick up in Maine, and of course my husband and kids—who have been absolute troopers working right alongside me during this adventure.

Here’s to bigger dreams, bigger trips, and helping even more people see the world… one boarding pass at a time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This has been been a fairly easy journey. Of course it has been a learn as i go on some things but Nan has helped me in the business aspect and Jen has help with travel aspects. I have pushed hard to let my kids see that anything is possible when you put in the hard work. Of course I have my nursing job that helps me open the new office and buy my inventory. The biggest challenge i guess would be working 16 to 17 hours a day.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work as a nurse at our local county prison in Floyd County. I love it here. I never thought about working in corrections but its a totally different type of nursing. I also started a scholarship in memory of a great man/friend who passed from a drowning 5 years ago. I have 5 incredible board members on that and we do 2 annual fund raisers each year. This year we were able to give 5 scholarships.

I am most proud of my husband of 31 years and my triplets. My little family means the world to me. They stand by me in whatever crazy ideas I ever have. What sets me apart from others? I am always willing to help anyone with what ever need they may have at the time. I am the type person to want to take care of others and put them first above what I want or need. That’s just my nature and I am good with that.

I have a band of friends that are my Armuchee girls. They hype you up, always there for me and one of the biggest reasons I want to serve others.

How do you think about happiness?
My family and friends make me happy. Without them my life would be null and void. They keep me going and they try to keep me young. Being surrounded by people whether it be strangers or friends im happy. I love to talk and I love to interact with others.
