Today we’d like to introduce you to Kel’li Sherrene Cole.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew in a wealthy family, just wasn’t enough excitement I guess. I left home at the age of 16, I started to sell drugs. Stopped once I gave birth to my now 13-year-old son. I worked as a cosmetologist 20 years and MUA 12 years, I am a transformation coach specifically for entrepreneurs and authors. I am a licensed Nurse, union actress, paid public speaker, Relationship Analysis, Consultant, I graduated studying homelictics, Hermeneutics, the art of marriage, and marriage beyond the vows. I have an award-winning book titled He Can Be Faithful! We are up to receive our 3rd award for legends in business on my birthday and the one year anniversary of the book October 19th. I started my own publishing company and consulting firm behind seeing our people being overcharged and ill-informed about how to start and maintain businesses. Also, catering coaching for the entrepreneurs because as you climb the ladder in life, the less friends and support you have which often leads to depression, and sometimes suicide with no one to talk to about your problems without feeling like your bragging (I had originally typed an amazing story that erased during a phone update go figure), lol!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A lot of the things I have experienced were self-inflicted. Selling drugs, experimenting with different lifestyles earlier in life (dancing), etc. But a major challenge for me was letting go of the fear of being successful. I would have 99 people cheer for me and focus on the one that wasn’t just because I knew I had a strong presence and I didn’t want anyone to feel inferior or lesser than due to me being present. So, I would tone it all the way down just for them to be comfortable. I no longer do that.
Guideline Girls – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We help people start and maintain businesses. Llc filing, custom legal kit i.e.; operating agreement, company seals, etc. At an extremely affordable cost, nonprofit organizations, trademark, ghostwriting books for some social media favorites, transformation coaching, Relationship Academy. We are known for writing books and starting clothing or product lines a lot. I am proud that we serve in excellence. We don’t turn people away. We provide them options to get their goal achieved.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Winning the Wdas Women of excellence Sheroe Award alongside Eve and a number of great trailblazers.
