Meet Kendra Logan of Ardnek Success Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Logan.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kendra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I think that I have always been a helping type of person. I have always been someone that people could count on and I have always loved helping other people achieve goals. As I went through school and learned more about the business world, I would help family and friends with job searching and how to tailor the resume to get selected for interviews and even with interview preparation. That led to people referring other people to me and before I knew it – people were contacting me asking me if I could help them with “finding success” in regards to looking for a job.

As I continued working and living my own life – I realized that life itself comes with ups and downs and it can be hard for anyone, including myself, to navigate it without having a sense of direction. This led me down a path of researching and trying to determine what indeed helps people achieve their version of a “successful life,” and as I learned more information, I found myself wanting to share it with others. Why? Because I want to see others win… I want to see everyone happy and enjoying their lives as we are supposed to. I want to motivate people to actually go out and take steps to be successful. I helped a few people with some goals and seeing them happy and excited about the direction their life was going in was the icing on the cake to me… the best feeling! And just like that, I realized that this is what I want to do forever. This is what makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside… helping others find and achieve their success.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has absolutely NOT been a smooth road. There have been many times where I wanted to quit, many times where I cried, and many times where I considered myself a failure but looking back I realize that all of those things were absolutely necessary. I wouldn’t change anything because those obstacles have taught me some key principles that have helped me grow and develop as an entrepreneur. I had dealt with many struggles – everything from time management to learning to celebrate even the small wins. Each time that I have to face a new struggle, my strength and determination to be successful are heightened. I have learned that people will let you down especially when it comes to supporting your business, and that is ok. It’s your business, not theirs. They are not always going to see it as you do, but the people that truly want to support you… will… no questions asked. I had to learn that it is impossible to please everyone. Sometimes as business owners, we feel like the customer is always right… wrong! Some people cannot be satisfied no matter what you do or what you offer. Do and offer your best and if that isn’t good enough, then that is on them. Every person doesn’t have to be your client – you have the right to choose who you want to work with. Another important thing that I had to learn is to believe in myself if nobody else does. There will always be naysayers and people who don’t want you to win, but when you start believing what others say over what you believe for yourself, it can really get you in a bad place. I would have a really good idea and then let other people’s negative opinions or doubts get me down or hurt my feelings even though I knew in my heart that this thing could really work. I had to learn to be my own cheerleader even if nobody else is cheering for me.

We’d love to hear more about your consulting firm.

Owner and Success Advocate of ASC, I live with aspirations of creating a positive difference in society and the lives of others. Through my words and personal life stories, I motivate crowds, small and large, to live up to their potential, be the best version of themselves, and go after their dreams. I host and speak at multiple events throughout the year to promote positivity, networking, and collaboration. I am the creator and organizer of the women’s networking empowerment dinner, Beautiful Boss Women in White, which takes place in Charleston, SC each spring and will be in Charlotte, NC this summer.

I am known for being the person who can help people accomplish their goals and succeed. I am the accountability partner that everyone needs but doesn’t really want. I am also known as being the “Success Plug” because I am always able to connect people to the person, place, or thing that they need. I want to see everyone win and don’t mind going above and beyond to see that it happens.

I am most proud of the positive impact that this company has on others. ASC truly wants to see people win and be happy because they are making great changes in their lives. It warms my heart when someone attends one of my events and give positive reviews to others and discuss how it has affected their life in a positive manner. I am ecstatic when a client gets a new job because of the resume I created an interview prepping that we did, or when a new small business owner is approved for a loan because of the business plan that we created to help them pitch the business to various groups.

My dedication to my clients and the true end to want to see others win is what sets us apart.

What was you like growing up?
I was a complete nerd growing up but I like to think I was cool too LOL. I liked to read and I liked to learn. I was also very sweet and very kind. I looked out for my people and everybody know that if you needed something, Kendra was always willing to help. I have always been fun loving. I love to laugh and I like to make others laugh, so I do have a jokey and silly side. The business has ALWAYS been my heart for as long as I can remember. As a teen, I knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur one day. Growing up, Claire Huxtable was who I wanted to emulate as an adult. A beautiful, classy, sophisticated wife and mother, who was educated, family oriented, and fashionable – she was goals for me. I wanted to be that woman who wore business suits, carried the classic leather briefcase, and commanded the attention of everyone when she walked to the room. I wanted to be a BOSS!!
