Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenton Dazzel.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started with music but shifted over to videography and photography after my wife who is the co-founder of Dazzel Production & Media and a life coach mentioned that she want to share motivational videos. I bought a T6i camera and started to film her whenever possible. I got intrigued with lighting and wanted to know more about the camera. I continued to invest time and money as it relates to purchasing equipment to learn more about production. I got to the point where I though I knew enough to help other people to bring their vision to life. On that note, I believe I got to where I am today because of God, a supportive wife, and networking.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my opinion, the road is never smooth. Coming from Guyana, which is the only English speaking country in South America. I had to overcome the challenge of articulating whenever communicating with other creative individuals. Coming from a health care background, I had to learn about a whole new industry as it relates to lighting and all that a camera can offer.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Dazzel Production & Media – what should we know?
Dazzel Production & Media was created with the slogan “Where Your Vision Comes To Life And Dazzles Forever.” In that context, the company is known for many aspects of videography and photography creation that includes lifestyle video, promotional video, covering events, short films, headshots, and commercial photography, etc. At this point, it is hard to say what the company is known for because we cover an array of video photo services. Thus, as a company, I am most proud of being able to work closely and collectively with clients from various background and bring their vision to life. Being able to build meaningful relationships with other companies as it relates to collaborating on projects. Subsequently, I believe what sets Dazzel Production & Media from others is being able to work closely and collectively. Regardless, if clients come to our location or we go to their location. We strive to make them feel comfortable and be able to express themselves as it relates to being creative.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe being detailed oriented, analytical, drive, and knowledgeable about the various video and photo editing and music programs sets me apart from others. I am able to combine what I know and what the programs can offer to be creative. In addition, I am very cool and laid back. Also, being persistent and knowing that I will get better regarding using the various programs as time goes by.
