Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenya Edwards.
Kenya, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After leaving my corporate America job a few years ago, I decided it was time to make a change, own my career and be my own boss! I decided to step out on faith and venture into the real estate industry. At that time, I knew very little about real estate and decided to do some research and dive in immediately. To my excitement, I instantly fell in love with real estate and knew my decision was the right one! After meeting with a long time friend who I knew was in this industry already, it solidified my decision and new found passion for starting this new career. Shortly after that, I joined PalmerHouse Properties and their Career Development Program. As part of PHP and the CDP program, I learned the ins and outs of real estate and how to grow and sustain a successful real estate business. Using my Marketing background, my experience, and with amazing support from my real estate mentor coaches over these past years, my business is continually growing strong and I am happy to assist families in turning their real estate dreams into reality!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My journey as a REALTOR has not always been the smoothest road. Yes, the road has sometimes been bumpy as I learned the business in the beginning and lost some clients. However, with all of those experiences, I learned they were opportunities for me to learn, grow and readjust my strategy and keep moving forward. Like my father says ALWAYS FORWARD and that is what you have to do – continue forward and keep striving. You can not grow a successful business without falling a few times and getting back up. Those experiences keep me driven and wanting more for my business and wanting more to help the next client find their dream home or sell their home so they can begin their next adventure!

My business Kenya Edwards Group LLC specializes in real estate services where myself and my team focus on guiding clients in buying, selling or leasing their homes. My goal is to assist clients through their real estate journey with top customer service, professionalism and excellence. I specialize in knowing the current home market trends so I can provide knowledge and expertise to my clients while finding them their dream home or selling their current home. I pride myself on ensuring my clients have my utmost attention to them and their home process. I am proud and thankful my real state business has taken off so fast in these few years and I have helped so many families on their real estate journey and helped them turn a house into a home.
Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business? If so – who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
My mentor coaches who deserve credit are two phenomenal REALTORs – Angel Crayton and Michelle Pleasant with the former Career Development Group at PalmerHouse Properties. Without them, my real estate success would not be possible. They had an amazing new agent program at PalmerHouse Properties, where I learned all the important tools of how to be an agent, how to run a successful business and how being a business owner is amazing and challenging at the same time. These two boss women are true leaders in this industry! I thank them for guiding me while starting my real estate business, paving the way and showing me the ropes so I too can become a successful real estate professional leader and teach upcoming agents in this industry.
