Today we’d like to introduce you to Keon Georges.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Before I started Georges Enterprise Int’l, I knew I wanted to start a business, however, I didn’t realize my calling until I had gone through some tough and very challenging times of individuals making my transition to Atlanta from California harder than what it should have been. I took that struggle and ran with it. I looked into franchising and found I didn’t meet various requirements but stumbled upon network marketing. Through network marketing, I met some individuals who had started journeys of their own and introduced me to various parts of marketing in the form of freelance work.
During that time, I felt I was missing out on something and continued to find positive and forward thinking mentors, research, and read material that would benefit me. The freelance work wasn’t as consistent as I was hoping for but through my own ambitions, I felt like I had learned enough to start my own business. I spoke to friends who as I stated earlier had started their our journey and told them of my idea. Everyone was on board with the understanding that as long as it didn’t interfere with their business(es), they had no problem assisting me along the way. This allowed me to expand my reach and resources which are in New York and Los Angeles.
After putting together the marketing side, I felt that this wasn’t enough to separate me from other marketing agencies. I attended various networking events in Atlanta and met a contact who had access to magazine advertising such as Forbes, Sports Illustrated, Time, Good Housekeeping, Cosmo, and many more. I followed the recommendations and was able to add that to my agency. Through that contact, I met another person who was able to introduce me to a different type of advertising that would allow my clients and potential clients to be advertised on over 15oo+ platforms.
Once I implemented the advertising, I encountered some clients who wanted my services however money was an issue. I reached out to my contacts who then put me into contact with a few of his business partners so that I could somehow incorporate business funding into my agency. After this was implemented and finalized, I felt I was now in a better position to help any type of client.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, the road has not been smooth. Working a full-time job and pursuing your passion and vision by far is one of the most hardest obstacles I have encountered. I’ve made a lot of personal sacrifices, but my family understands the vision and legacy I want to leave. They have been very encouraging and supportive.
The business side brings its own set of obstacles because people don’t see the long hours you put in, the money spent on training or to acquire a new skill, or the countless hours perfecting your craft. They only see the glamour and finished product. Unfortunately, I’ve had a few bumps in the road where I thought certain individuals had my best interest, but in reality, we’re only trying to benefit themselves.
Those few encounters have only shown me to cherish the good and solid business relationships I currently have and to be mindful of others. I’ve quickly learned my lesson and am now more aware and patient before making any type of business decision.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My family deserves a lot of credit. I can be difficult to deal with when I have my mind set on accomplishing something. They have put up with the long hours after hours of me staying up to finish a project or studying material so that I’m well versed when speaking about it or sacrificing time to attend an event. They support me and motivate me every day.
Two supporters who have been encouraging is Rhonda “RoSolo” Fleming-Solomon. She’s also an entrepreneur, life coach, and radio host. A good friend and motivator is Elgin Simmons. He is an entrepreneur based out of California with his own clothing line Made Men Unlimited. These two individuals have motivated me, and I have done the same when we hit a bump in the road. The entrepreneur journey is not easy. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
