

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keon Turner.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Keon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Klean Team came about initially as an additional source of income for my family. I began to look for businesses that had a low overhead but a decent return on margin. No one ever want to start a business that has a high startup cost especially when you have a household to maintain. So my first thought was a pressure washing business would be a great idea. I began doing all of the research online to see what all I needed to purchase, and putting together my own personal business plan to ensure once I got my business up and running it would definitely be successful. This allowed me to know what my possible start-up cost would be, what some of the possible challenges could be, and also different avenues I could successfully market my business.
Once all of my research was complete, I went out and pretty much purchased everything I needed for my business on day one. I first started with my own how to view the trial an errors within my own work. In the back of my mind I would rather jack up my own home before I just jump out in the world and ruin my business before it even got off the ground. I then next moved to my parents, in-laws, and close friends offering my services for free. This helped me perfect my craft prior to getting actually getting to paying customers. I then moved to social media to help with the promotion and marketing side of my newly found passion.
I got my first paying customer, which ironically was a really close friend of mine, and I pressure washed her home ad driveway. Once thing led to another and I started getting business from her neighbors that eventually landed me in a meeting with the HOA team within her subdivision. From there, I began to get more exposer via referrals, social media posting, social media reposting, and gained me higher paying contracts. At this time, I was still working a regular 9-5 because in the beginning I was only doing this as an extra source of income. After 3 or 4 months, I began to bring what I was making on my 9-5 in just a weekend, and it just blew me out the water. This pretty much put me in a bad space forcing me to sit down and think about what I should be doing full-time. This prompted me to actually sit down and discuss this with my wife on what would be the best this for us as a family. Working full-time my business would be able to reach its full potential. When came to the conclusion that it was time to bet on myself, put all my energy into something I’ve now created, bet on myself, build a company that I could possibly pass down to my son, and just continue stay focused on my vision.
Has it been a smooth road?
Working as an entrepreneur there are always going to be hurdles. Sometimes it varies from business slowing down with the seasons, and the goal is to obtain contracts to limit this being an issues. Equipment issues can cause your business to be down completely, and that within itself is a headache. But when you want something, you believe in something, and most of all you believe in yourself you will push to overcome all obstacles in your way. I just want to continue to grow and get bigger and see my business land in the commercial/industrial side with employees. A wise man once told me that, “there’s always going to be bumps in the road along your travel…but make sure you have good suspension”. So if I make sure I have that good suspension I will be able to take any type of hit and keep on ticking. I’m grateful for all those who’ve supported me thus far, and look forward to those I will potentially work with in the future.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Klean Team Power Washing story. Tell us more about the business.
Klean Team Power Washing is Locally owned and operated pressure washing business that specializes in helping clients maintain their commercial and residential investments and keeping them klean at the same time. I am proud of the consistent growth of the company and the number of referrals that I received from customers. I know that I would not be where I am if it was not for the support of my friends, family and most importantly my beautiful wife and kids. What set Klean Team apart from others is my dedication and commitment to being a daily learner and getting better at my craft everyday. I strive to make sure that everyone that reaches out to me for pressure washing services will be treated with top-notch customer service and professionalism. I am satisfied when my customers are satisfied. I take pride in the services that I provide.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the industry continuing to grow because there is definitely a market for property preservation. I have had followers on my social media reach out to me to have their homes or driveways pressure washed just from seeing the before and after pictures that I post on my social media pages. Many of them have told me that they have never thought about having the driveway kleaned or have your house washed and the difference that it makes after it has been done. So I just want to be able to continue to make people notice things that they may have overlooked previously and make them want to give Klean Team a call.
