Today we’d like to introduce you to Kesean Turner.
Hi Kesean, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started back in 2013. My older brother, Robert, sat me down and showed me how to design on Adobe Photoshop. I remember that moment like it was yesterday — the instant he taught me how to place an image inside of a word, something clicked. I fell in love with designing right then and there. That was the moment I knew deep down that one day, I could really do this.
Before that, I was just a kid sketching t-shirt ideas on my school composition notebooks, imagining designs that only existed in my head. Over the years, life took me in different directions and I drifted away from creating, but the ideas never left me. Whenever something came to mind, I’d write it down in my Notes app, saving visions for the future.
Then the pandemic hit. I was attending Alabama A&M University, living the full HBCU experience… and suddenly it was gone. Campus shut down, everyone was sent home, and just like that, everything shifted. I felt back at square one — uncertain, frustrated, and searching for direction.
I didn’t want to return, so I took a job fueling planes at Hartsfield-Jackson airport. I did that for a while, but deep down, I knew it wasn’t my purpose. I remember talking to God late one night and telling myself I was going to go for it — really go for it. I wanted to take that spark from 2013 and turn it into something real.
But pursuing your dreams isn’t easy.
In 2021, I made it official. I registered my business and started investing in myself: shirts, bags, stickers, products. I took what began as a moment with my brother on Photoshop and turned it into the brand I had always imagined.
And today, I’m still pushing forward. Still striving. Still building. Still dreaming.
And I’m nowhere near finished.
Rest in peace Robert — lil bro got you.
Raw & Uncut Presents: Untelevised.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I went through self-depression, losing friendships, outgrowing others, and facing the reality that I wasn’t where I wanted to be in life. It’s a heavy feeling when you know you have potential but you’re not standing in the place you envisioned. Still, I pushed through.
I worked job after job — I’ve got a whole portfolio of them.
I was a route runner, delivering beverages all across the metro Atlanta area at six in the morning, hitting places like the Camp Creek Market Place, All through East Point and College Park and the Ponce City Market later in the day.
I worked in an apprenticeship program, installing glass in high-rise apartment buildings and fire houses, carefully setting windows into place.
I did whatever I had to do to keep going, even when I didn’t feel like myself.
And through all of that, I learned something real:
You really see who’s with you when you start a business and pour your time, energy, and heart into something you love. It used to be disheartening watching people — even family or friends — see me struggle, see me fight through life, and then finally watch me do something I’m passionate about… and still not acknowledge it. Not support it. Not show love.
That hits different.
But it taught me something important:
Not everybody is going to see your vision the way you do.
Not everybody can understand the dream God placed inside you.
Through everything — the long hours, the early mornings, the heavy lifting, the setbacks, the silence from people I expected support from, and the self-doubt — I never lost sight of my dream.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Fashion Designer and Graphic Designer inspired by the early 2000s–2011 Blog Era — brands like Billionaire Boys Club, Bape, Ice Cream, and the bold, colorful individuality of that time. If I had to describe my style in one word, it would be flavors. Color has always brought out a vibrant emotion in me. Even as a kid, my mom used to stitch patches on my jean jackets in bright colors with my name on them. That spirit of expression has always been part of who I am.
I specialize in creating designs, logos, and visual concepts that stand out. Over the years, I mastered the skill of taking a visual that exists only in my head and translating it onto a blank canvas on my Mac screen — then bringing it to life on a shirt or hoodie. I give GOD all the glory for blessing me with this talent. There is nothing like creating something from scratch, seeing someone wear it with pride, and knowing that piece will bring them joy for years to come.
What separates me from others is simple: I’m real. I believe in standing on what you believe in, staying true to yourself, and never trying to fit in with the crowd. When you stay in your own lane, blessings follow. And whenever someone receives a piece from me, they’re getting something that comes straight from the heart. I spend countless hours designing, crafting, and refining concepts meant to bring back that nostalgic feeling of wearing something truly original.
It’s been years in the making — building a brand, shaping an identity, and creating garments that feel cool, radical, and personal. But I won’t talk your ear off. I’ll let the products speak for themselves.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is being able to wake up every day and thank God for another chance at life. That gratitude alone sets the tone for everything I do. Going to the gym also brings me peace — it keeps my body in shape, my mind focused, and my discipline sharp. I believe your health is the foundation of everything; if your body isn’t functioning right, nothing else will feel right either.
I’m also happy when I’m around family. I’m not the type to be out everywhere or constantly in the mix — I like to handle my business, stay out the way, and protect my peace. Being with the people who matter, staying grounded, and taking care of myself spiritually and physically… that’s what brings me happiness.
