Keshia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After being consumed with my new role as a mommy, I realized that my reality was much different. Although motherhood is very rewarding, it is super tough at the same time. Between constantly listening to nursery rhymes, being sleep deprived, and becoming this new bundle of joy’s everything, time for myself was super limited. My reality was now Karmen’s world.
I started discovering new avenues of self-care and outlets that provided a sense of therapy. I often watched online tutorials and participated in hands-on classes about making specialty treats.
This became my new passion after tucking my daughter in bed nightly. After much hesitation, family & friends encouraged me to turn this passion into a business.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! It is challenging trying to run a business and balance out the different roles that I share. Trying to balance out my personal life with my family, work, friends, and building a business is an ongoing struggle.

Karm’s Treats specializes in satisfying your sweet tooth – from Chocolate-covered strawberries, Rice Krispy treats, Oreos, Stuffed Apples, Popcorn, Cakesicles, and so much more in between! All of my treats are handcrafted & fresh to order with the finest ingredients. Each treat tastes as good as it looks!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My customer service is most important to my success. I strive to make our consumer’s experience satisfactory in every aspect. From the time they place an order up until delivery, we strive to make their experience pleasant.
