Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Townley.
Kevin has simply become the hottest Director in Atlanta Georgia. We are real excited about Kevin’s future it looks Directing is Kevin’s passion, inspiration, motivation, and life. Before it’s all said and done he will be the most celebrated Director in the world. Kevin is a World class citizen with high morals, loyalty, integrity, and extremely disciplined, he believes in family values and his creativity is unmatched. Kevin has worked with numerous people in the industry, TI, Ying Yang Twins, Richard “Shamrock Burton, Young Dro, Tamika Scott & LaTocha Scott of Xscape, Lisa Wu, Ed Hartwell, Free Way from the ROC, Young Jeezy, Young, Young Dro, DJ Unk, Euclid Gray of R-Kelly’s Public Announcement, BOB, Rich boy, Jake Lambo, Greg Street, Blood Raw, Yung Buck, Slick Pulla, Ju Tuan, Sir Winston, Bohagon, R. Kelly, Rocky Fountaine Eastside Boyz, Silento, Yung Mieo, Ying Yang Twins, Smoke of Field Mobb, YFN Lucci, Lil Boosie and the list goes. Kevin is inspired by Chris Robinson of Robot Film, Steven Spielberg, and Mike Taylor and he is an Associate of Robot Film, MT Vision, Urban Vision Film, Kevin also served 21 years in the Military (Army) A war veteran of Iraq Freedom and was a highly decorated Sergeant. This Award Winning Director is a new breathes of fresh air to the Film Industry & Entertainment Industry.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were many struggles, building a name for yourself, where the next check going to come from, a lot of moving around. Working with very small budgets, but artist wants to have a million dollar video or a beer budget. I liked the hard road because I learned a lot the do’s and the don’ts. It really made me hungry but I never wanted to mess over someone’s career just to make money.
Kevin Townley Entertainment – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a director, writer, and producer. I specialize in directing, but people always tell me I’m a great writer. I write treatments, scripts, shorts, commercials, music and I just completed a book called (THEN CAME KEVIN TOWNLEY) Its like an introduction to the world.
I’m known for the ATL movie, I worked with Chris Robinson and Mike Taylor. Through God all things are possible.
One of the most proud things was shooting a video for Tyler Perrys movie Daddies Little Girle with Tamika Scott of Xscape (THE GREATEST GIFT) To me that was my “I have arrived moment”.
My creativity makes me elite to other filmmakers and writers. I always create to the highest level, plus my work is my lifestyle. I feel like every time we work we set the bar.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment was writing a play called (GOOD WOMAN OR A FOOL) because I never wrote a play before, then the play was success. It was at the spare of the moment and me and staff made it happen.
