Meet Keyanna Brown of The Royal Connect x WomenWhoWearCrowns in Fulton County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keyanna Brown.

Keyanna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I first began my non-profit organization, WomenWhoWearCrowns in 2015, at Savannah State University, where I attended college. I received my bachelor’s degree in Behavior Analysis with a minor in education and business marketing. During my collegiate years, I served in multiple organizations, where I was able to gain more and expand my leadership skills. I served in SGA, and also an all-girls organization, Eloquent Commitment to Helping Our Sisters (ECHOS) in which inspired me to create and brand my own female organization so that in some way, I would be able to continue with helping black Women once I graduated from college. The WWWC organization is one of my first of many projects that encourages, highlights, and helps expand and expose women in business through events, sisterhood, and networking.

Through WomenWhoWearCrowns, I have been able to share my fabulous flare for a higher level of opportunity, networking, building business and brands, as well as marketing. Through my organization and all of its services, I was led to create my second brand, “The Royal Connect”, in 2018. The Royal Connect was founded after experiencing a tragic accident, where I was shot by a Clayton county deputy sheriff officer. After experiencing such tragic event, & having to place my organization, WWWC on hold, due to a long period of depression, mentally, and physically healing & suffering from PTSD. I was able to launch and create The Royal Connect, in which I like to refer to as “A greater message”. The Royal Connect’s motto is more connection to creativity (business owners, and what they offer) captivity (grasping new clients and exposing them to new techniques), and to Christ (including Jesus Christ in our business plans and in all that we do). With both of my brands, I was also able to brand myself. Keyanna Brown, better known as “I Own the Crown”

Has it been a smooth road?
From day one to present, the road has not been easy. But I always remind myself of Jeremiah 29:11.
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I just keep going. Through all of my struggles and setbacks, I have managed to land at the peak of success in my endeavors and business adventuress, and I have yet to reach the highest, for “I can do all things through God who strengthens me.
