Today we’d like to introduce you to Keys Harper.
Keys, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Spoiled Brats Brand was founded in 2016 and was started by Keys Harper from the inner-city areas of Atlanta, Georgia. Since I was a kid, I have always felt the need to be creative and as I grew older, I realized that I wanted to incorporate my creativity within my community. I saw the need to increase women empowerment and promote self-love within my culture and community. Spoiled brats brand believes that fashion and beauty is a direct correlation between self-love and confidence. If you look good, then you feel good. Spoiled Brats Brand is here to ensure we all become strong, confident, and motivated individuals. This brand is not just for women, but also includes products for men and children. We desire to extend this movement throughout our culture and different cultures as well.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a young entrepreneur has had its share of obstacles. I have had many struggles whether it’s from juggling my brand, being a mother, school, ensuring that I have had time set out for myself, and maintaining my mental health. There have been times where I wanted to give up and throw in the towel. But I had to focus on the bigger picture and not get so discouraged. But having my own brand helped me find an outlet to cope with my battles with mental illness and encouraged me to help others who also battle with mental illnesses.
Spoiled Brats Brand – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Spoiled Brats Brand (SBB) is an all-inclusive company that includes urban clothing, hair extensions, lash extensions, and everyday accessories. We aim to make our customers feel a step above the rest when they are clothed in The Spoiled Brats Brand. Spoiled Brats Brand is probably most known for the Medusa “Scorn woman” logo, and my bright & eccentric bold colors. I set myself apart from the rest of the brands out because behind every logo/design, it represents a piece of my life’s story, and things I have faced but also overcame. I’m proud of my company because it’s not only a clothing brand, it’s a women’s empowerment group which encourages individuals to follow their dreams and to place your pain into something creative and make it beautiful.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define “success” as being able to live off your dreams freely and the demand for your brand is sky-high. Success to me is being able to solemnly focus on your passion/brand and feed your family off of your brand only with no extra jobs just living as a greatly-achieved entrepreneur.
