Kimberly Knox, formerly a Vice President in the financial industry. Kimberly is a single mother of two young girls McKenzie and Madison. Kim’s passion has always been in the kitchen. But what triggered the start of infusion was the inspiration from her daughter McKenzie, the oldest of the girls, said to her mom, “mommy, you should sell seafood, yours taste better than some popular seafood chains.” Kim decided to play around in the kitchen by selling pans of seafood to her friends. To her surprise, the reviews she was receiving were astonishing. So Kim decided to expand her seafood pans to the public. Again, she received raved reviews from everyone, including socialites and public figures. Kim saved every dime she earned from the sales of the seafood pans to sacrificing vacations and outings with her kids and put every dollar she earned into building her business from the ground up.
Infusion Crab ATL vision was inspired by the love of my life McKenzie and Madison. During the most difficult days. My family decided that we would put our hearts and soul into building our business even if that meant sacrificing everything. With confirmation through my Lord and savior and also my dear friend “Sheena,” consistently asking me to obey signs from above. I knew our hard work wouldn’t be in vain. My kids sacrificed weekends, outings, summertime fun to build our brand along with my son(s) Roscoe, Makhai and Nash!!! My vision for my kids; to teach and educate them that they can do anything with determination, discipline, and most importantly, God. (I’m hard on my kids for the most part. My expectations are set high).
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Infusion Crab Atl – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a Southern chef that specializes in Soulfood and seafood. My company is most proud of giving back to the community and volunteering. What sets me apart from others in the same industry is my drive and my desire to cook. When you taste my food, you experience food that was cooked with love.
Has it been a smooth road?
No it hasn’t. But I’m proud to say it’s been a very short road from the kitchen to my first brick and mortar restaurant coming soon.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love our culture and the diversity Atlanta has to offer. What I least like is Atlanta traffic.
