Meet Kimberly London-Posey and Suzie Chinal of Woodstock Antiques and Consignments in Acworth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly London-Posey and Suzie Chinal.

Kimberly & Suzie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It’s been a venture, built and blessed by God every step of the way. We barely knew each other when we set out to follow a dream and join forces to purchase an existing antique mall. We feel like we’re an exception to the rule to be two women in business together for 13 years. Today we love each other more and can’t imagine a life without the other in it. We have two amazing husbands, who have been our biggest supportive cheerleaders, and furbabies we love dearly. We never knew that running this type of business would bring us many opportunities to be of service to people. Daily, God allows us to help or touch someone’s life. We are truly blessed!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Advertising has always been our biggest challenge. It is always hard to judge where your money is best spent. We would have to say that, for the most part, we have had a smooth road. We know we have to continue to learn and change constantly in this evolving marketplace. We have to if we want to stay relevant.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
As Woodstock Antiques & Consignments we are known for having a beautiful mix of antique, vintage, new & repurposed merchandise. We’ve recently added a boutique within the mall, worn for Love. It is a creative shop with upscale new clothing, jewelry and gently worn better brands.

We have a fantastic Studio where we offer various workshops, teaching decorative paint techniques and art on canvas classes too. We offer two paint lines, Amy Howard at Home and Junk Gypsy Chalk and Clay Paints.
We love that people often comment on the warmth and friendliness of the store. There’s just a great vibe to be felt when you visit. We’re also proud to be a pet-friendly environment; we love our customers & their fur babies!

What were you like growing up?
Kimberly London-Posey: I’ve always loved to laugh and make people laugh. I love to learn and enjoy creating, I always have. Even as a child I was entering art contests and teaching myself how to knit, draw, sculpt and so on. Playing “dress up” for me was a theatrical experience. I’ve carried these gifts with me throughout my life & I nurture my inner child anytime I have the opportunity. I’m not afraid to try different things, even if they scare me. I like a challenge!
