Meet Kira Gaddy of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kira Gaddy.

Hi Kira, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
While I’ve been in business for five years now, my journey with photography began long before that — back when I was a child. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of capturing memories and creating keepsakes of family and the many people I’ve met along the way.

Growing up, I remember being mesmerized by the walls in my grandmothers’ homes, covered with photos of our family. Those images felt like windows to the past — a way to go back in time and relive those moments.

I’ve always been the girl with the camera, recording life as it happens. What started as a heartfelt passion has turned into a true blessing — the opportunity to share my love for photography with others and turn it into a thriving business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to entrepreneurship is never easy, but anything worth having is worth working for. This journey comes with sleepless nights, tough decisions, and moments of doubt when you question, Am I doing the right thing? Did I make the right choice? But here’s the truth — doubt is part of the process, not the destination. God gave you the vision for a reason, and He didn’t bring you this far to leave you now. Don’t sit in the doubt. Keep moving forward. Keep believing in God & the vision that He gave you.

You have to stay focused, stay faithful, and trust that every challenge is shaping you for the success that’s already on its way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
When I first started out, I was only interested in portrait photography. That was my comfort zone — faces, expressions, stories told through the eyes. But now, five years later, I can honestly say I’ve fallen in love with every facet of photography — portraits, weddings, real estate, fashion, corporate work, events — all of it.

I truly believe that every moment is worth capturing & every image should tell a story. Over the years, I’ve developed a phrase I call “Living in Color.” To me, it simply means recognizing the color in your life and everything around you — the beauty, the emotion, the energy that makes each moment unique.

As a photographer, I live to capture those colors. Because what’s the point of having dull, lifeless photos? You don’t want to look back 10, 15, or 20 years from now and think your life was bland. You want to look back and feel it — the laughter, the love, the energy — and say, “I truly lived.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
In my Opinion almost everying in business is about risk. Taking risks in business is about having the courage to believe in your ideas and step out on Faith with confidence. Every great success story begins with someone who dared to try something new, even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed. Risks can often feel intimidating, but they also can be very liberatinging & bring the chance to grow, learn, discover new opportunities as well as discovering things you didn’t know about yourself. The key for me is to 1st Pray about it, then take thoughtful, well-planned risks—guided by research, passion, and a willingness to adapt. Even when things don’t go as expected, each experience helps you become stronger and wiser. In business, embracing risk isn’t just about chasing success—it’s about believing in your vision and giving yourself the chance to make that vision happen.
