Today we’d like to introduce you to Kobie Williams.
Hi Kobie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born a southern boy, surrounded by trees and isolated by people. As a young man, I often reflected on what makes me feel fulfilled—games, food, Rihanna, and others. However, nothing captivated me like fashion. I would practice runway walks in my room’s mirror, using satin sheets folded to mimic clothing. Sometimes, I slipped into my mother’s heels, feeling completely free—doing what I wanted, when I wanted, all while looking fabulous.
I’ve always sensed I had a unique edge—something about burnished leather and antiqued silver pieces kept drawing me back. I earned the nickname “Michael Jackson” in my family for wearing motorcycle jackets, Cuban chains, and spiked accessories.
I remember first hearing Gaga and memorizing her choreographies. As I grew older, I started surrounding myself with like-minded individuals, often out of necessity. Growing up can be humbling, especially when seeking guidance or companionship in a world that often isolates those who seem “different.” Ironically, we are all different, yet fundamentally the same. Despite societal expectations of isolation, I never let that stop me from pursuing what I loved—skills like jewelry making, music production, modeling, and working in the dental industry.
It became harder to find others like me—those who enjoy creating without conforming, those who are simply who they are, not who they “should be.” But anything worthwhile isn’t easy, which is probably why I’m so hard to come by.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Regardless of what type, every challenge presents a chance for growth and adaptation. The past year was a continuous learning experience, not because it was a difficult year, but because I discovered so much about myself. I learned what kind of environment I should be in, who I should connect with, my capabilities, and my true identity. The only difficulty I faced was not realizing my true self earlier. How else could I have uncovered who I am?
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Music is Coming.
Art is Coming.
Fashion is Coming.
There’s been enough delay.
Kobie is Coming…
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Those who create. Those who express themselves beyond words..
Because everyone has a mouth.
Show me something that can speak for itself.
