Meet Koolasloui

Today we’d like to introduce you to Koolasloui.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Koolasloui. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I first started to rap, I didn’t take it seriously, but it eventually turned into something I really love to do. I would’ve never thought that music would be my way out, I could never see myself really making music I so used to being the supporter for other people, close friends, etc. I created my first song “2door” and It went crazy so I kept going from there, Although my first song made me want to keep going, there are other things that also encourages me to rap such as personal family issues and death of close friends and family. My uncle Artis who passed away was a big fan of music, he is a big part of this also.

RIP Uncle Artis.  Thanks for sharing that with us.  Looking back, has it been relatively smooth road getting to where you are today? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It wasn’t easy at all. I’m actually still on a mission I’m not where I want to be at right now. When I’m talked about on a big dawg status level, then I’ll be satisfied.. I want to be up there with Jay Z, Meek Mill and Young Thug Level, But my journey at the moment hasn’t been easy you got to put in a lot of work to succeed, Its all about have bad you want it. Folks will say they want to rap but never pay for a studio session. .? Some folks want to been seen but never pay for a video shoot. You gotta think outside the box and work work work work.

What else should we know?
I’m a Rapper. I’m glad I choose to rap. My folks depending on me, I have to give it my all. What sets me different from others is because I’m built different, I put It into music so other people can feel me.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
First, I want to start off by saying my family & close friends, without them, I wouldn’t be this far. They pushed me to keep going with rapping. Also, have to give credit to Run-It-Up Records. Citi and Lito are making big things happen for me. Last but not least, I want to give credit to 41TheMovement. If you haven’t heard were a family, Its not a lot of but it is. Were just a group of guys that grew up together since the playground.
