Meet Krisia Kirksey of The 4th Season Sounds in Metro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krisia Kirksey.

Krisia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m Kris, 33 an Atlanta native. As a kid, my immediate family all owned businesses or were self-employed, so I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, I just hadn’t found anything I was completely passionate about. I’ve sold products independently for the last three years. I’ve worked in kitchens and retail, all of which were fields I loved but not enough to pursue it seriously. Fast forward to Feb 2019, I was invited on a date to a silent party. I enjoyed everything about the party. I told my friend that invited me. I wanted to buy my own to make the headphones more accessible to people who don’t necessarily like the club atmosphere.

I found a few companies to purchase headphones from and sent out inquiries, but the prices were outrageous, so I thought I would need a business partner, which made me procrastinate more. Once I read this book titled How Rich People Think, it changed my mindset. The book didn’t teach me anything I didn’t know already, but it gave me that reassurance that I could and should move forward. Once Covid hit I ordered a few more sets of headphones and again got nervous. I made a post on my Facebook page to see what my peers thought about the idea and everyone loved the concept. I immediately ordered all the equipment I needed to start and now we’re here and we have The 4th Season Sounds.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The hardest part is being an over-thinker and a perfectionist. I went through the working two jobs, late nights and early mornings but business-wise, its always been a smooth road. My business relationships have been built over the years and my supporters have always been consistent. Overthinking has always put me at a standstill, of course, it’s better to overthink than not think at all but I learned to be confident and that I could perfect things as I go as long as I GO!!

We’d love to hear more about The 4th Season Sounds.
The 4th Season Sounds is a Silent Party Headphone Rental Company based in Atlanta. Silent Party Headphones can be used for Private Parties, Festivals, Conferences, Nightclubs, Corporate Events, Church Sermons, Concerts, Open Mics, Yoga, Movie Screening, Multimedia Teaching, Multiple Language Simultaneous Interpretation, Wedding Receptions, Album and Mixtape Release, Educational Spaces etc. We specialize in bringing lasting and astounding music experience to any and every event. I’m most proud of the fact that I did it and alone. No business partner nor loan. What sets me apart from other companies is they may have headphones but they don’t have Kris, I’m very tech savvy. I’ve worked in an electronics store as a salesperson, I also have retail and inventory experience. I took everything positive I’ve learned from my previous jobs and applied it to this business. I’m knowledgeable and very passionate about music as well. I’m available 24 hours for inquiries and customer service and we also offer free delivery to every event.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always quiet and to myself. I was always playing outside with my siblings or glued to my computer. I was interested in running track, playing basketball and music. I was an Honor Roll student all the way through high school.
