Krystal, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been in my industry over 15 years. I began by seeking my degree in business and the entire time I was in school, I was making ends meet by doing hair. So to make my parents happy, I graduated with my degree and immediately went to cosmetology school. Once I completed cosmetology school, I explored my industry by working in salons, working as personal assistant to celebrity stylist and also working in spas. Then I got bored things just were ending up in my life and I knew I was destined to do more. So I went back to school to receive my educators’ license and from there, my dreams truly became reality. I opened up the Beauty Connect lounge 2 1/2 years ago after quitting my corporate school job and ever since I have been traveling the world and giving certifications and making women feel beautiful on my own time. This is what I consider to be the gift I give away. I teach Stylist how to Start, maintain, and expand independent services and salons so that they can be successful entrepreneurs. And so the story continues……
Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t really consider my journey to have any struggles I believe struggles are actually lessons in disguise and of course as a business owner I have been through some Common and some uncommon. The number one lesson I learned was to go harder when things get tough! Don’t give up, passion and persistence is the key to success.

I am a master cosmetologist and educator. I teach nationally and internationally to students who want to pursue an advanced career in beauty. I specialize in cosmetic services such as Hair, Microblading and Microshading, waxing and eyelash extension. I also worked directly with company owners to help establish guidelines to reach success and to help out with common obstacles before they go through them. Beauty Connect is all things beautiful! I think what makes me the most proud about my company is the fact that it is my company. No one tells me when I go to work no one signs my check I am in control of my destiny. What says beauty connect apart from most cosmetic service providers is the traveling factor and the extensive business-building services we provide for our students after training. We teach you how to do, market and build an entire business from what you love to do. Which creates career focused individuals and small business owners. Long story short I change people’s perspective on life which changes their lives for the better.

Of course, I have to give all of the glory and grace to God and the universe. My support system was definitely my mother and my father who made it possible for me to choose my destiny by not putting restrictions on my talent. My mentor Karen Willis was definitely a pivotal Being in my life. I met her when things weren’t so good and she taught me all things are good depending on how you think about it.
