Today we’d like to introduce you to Kwabena Botchey.
Kwabena, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I began my career as a club promoter in college and this is where I began to develop my understanding of how the nightlife could propel me to other avenues in the world of entertainment. This created a platform for me in the world of philanthropy, ironically enough. This would later lead into radio and television as both a personality and radio star.
Has it been a smooth road? What were the primary challenges along the way?
Definitely wasn’t a smooth road. Had to go through times of getting out of my own way. Challenges included dealing with self-doubt, anxiety, and trouble with the law at an early part of my career as well as dealing with setbacks.

K. Botchey LLC is a promotional & marketing company…obviously, named after me. This is also under the Botchey Certified Ent umbrella, which is the company that got the ball rolling in world of nightclub promotions. I am most known for being one of Atlanta’s top club promoters. Not only that, my non-profit company THE BOOK BANK Foundation which specializes in community cleanups and combating homeless is closely knitted to my K. Botchey brand to let our core audience know that aside from entertaining the nightlife scene we’re also committed to giving back to the communities that always supported us! I am most proud of rocking the hot parties in Atlanta and inspiring young entrepreneurs to brave enough in creating their own path to success.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely! If interested in getting involved in promotions or marketing Atlanta is the ideal place to start. Atlanta is modern-day melting pot of culture, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. There’s no limit to what or who you can become.
