Hi Kyng, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
IT STARTED WITH TRYING TO BUILD A LGBTQ PARTY SCENE IN JACKSONVILLE, NC. Trying to build us a community where there was none. So In order to make an impact I wanted to start a Facebook show to build engagement and our first show ended in over 2k live views which started the journey of DA ROYAL COUCH.
From that point, I was focused and didn’t take no as an answer! So u asked how did I get here now? BY DOING THE WORK! EDUCATING MYSELF ON THE BUSINESS. & the most important consistency. For ex. I would send out literally over 50 emails a day to influencers, celebrities and more to be a guest.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Anything worth it has struggles for u to overcome in order to get to the success you desire!
Ex. Building an authentic audience! That’s was a big struggle, especially coming into over-saturated market. But I realize down the line, stop trying to find my audience and allowed my audience to find me. So for a long time, I was only talking to a few people. But the consistency and my drive saw the audience and not the number with eventually grew. And not only grew but became respected, admired & loved.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a media correspondent, radio personality at hits 92.3, marketing manager, junior Pr & professional assistant. But those are just titles
I’m mostly known for spreading love and positivity thru my interviews. Making my guest feel comfortable by giving a genuinely unbiased perspective to their lives or situation. With that, it allowed me to build my brand to greater heights
Such as working with networks as ex. Producer, taking brands to the next level. Creating spaces for indie entrepreneurs to take things further than where they are currently.
My most proud moment in my career would being recognized by the image I put out. Meaning it’s good to be truly seen for what u love and choose to be and do in life. & I’m also proud of some of my high profile interviews I was able to obtain based of my own experience. Such as ROBERTO ESCOBAR, Elmo, and Presidential Candidate HOWIE HAWKINS. Just to name a few.
I believe 1 thing that set me apart from all others is my approach and my unwillingness to accept bulls**** as content. I believe in today’s climate, everyone is searching for the clickable viral moment and will do anything for it. Where I am just wanting to put out GREAT AMAZING CONTENT.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I don’t remember a lot of my childhood being I tried to forget a lot of it due to it not being so nice. But 1 amazing memory I do have is in PUERTO RICO. At my grandparent’s house. I was in the living room with my papa (my grandpa) may he rest in peace. Watching our favorite movie “A CELTICS PRIDE”.
With him was also my favorite memories.
