Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyra Smith.
Kyra, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I recently graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Business Administration with a major in Management. I graduated Summa Cum Laude (the highest level of academic excellence) and obtained my degree in just three years by sacrificing all of my Summers by taking more classes. Earlier this year, I was honored the “2019 Trendsetter” award from my church in recognition of outstanding achievements in school and the community. Because of my zeal to be an overachiever, I was named to the Dean’s List for High Scholastic Achievement Every Semester.
As a recent graduate, I knew I didn’t want to work for a big corporation, but desired to create my Own Brand and Define my Own Space in society. My dream was to establish a business that would enhance the appearance and decor of everyday items for others while challenging my creativity. My motto is “Kreating, Krafting and Kustomizing products from anything for anyone”.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Although I thoroughly enjoyed creating my brand, products, and website, there were some challenges with effective marketing and defining my target audience.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about KyKreations – what should we know?

My highest accomplishment so far as a business owner has been my Customized Face Shields which are very popular amongst the Hairstylist Community. I initially created this shield to protect the identity of those suffering from Alopecia. Many times these individuals desire to go into a beauty shop to be pampered and get a fancy new hairstyle without the embarrassment of others staring, whispering or making fun of them. While Alopecia is an Autoimmune Disorder, that often results in unpredictable hair loss, no one volunteers for this condition (disorder). Well, I have beautified Face Shields that these clients are able to proudly use to shield their face and can boldly sit in the styling chairs of the favorite hairstylist and feel pampered and beautiful once again. Many stylists have defined other GREAT uses for these shields as well.
