Lakeisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My keen eye for fashion, creating and decorating started in my early teen years. I knew that someday my gifts would make room for me. During my time as a retail manager; going into my 18th year I knew it was time for a shift. In 2017, I started putting things in place to have my business up and running in 2018. October 23, 2018 THE LOBBY boutique was birthed!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road to say the least! Trying to find that balance of being an entrepreneur, mom, wife, student and FT employee is a struggle. There have been other obstacles I’ve had to overcome and still currently face to get to where I am today.

THE LOBBY boutique is a sophisticated women’s clothing boutique designed to empower all women through Bold Energetic, Positive and Inspiring fashion.
I am most known for my own personal style; which I may tap into design in the near future.
What sets me apart is that I operate my business as a boutique and not a big box…meaning I won’t have seven of the same thing.
I’m most proud of my brand’s resilience and my determination to transform the definition of what sexy is.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising might be my natural love and ear for music and instruments. Many people had no idea I could sing and dance. Oh, I’m also shy!
