Meet Lakesha Henry of The Flawless Butterfly Effect By Lakesha in Gwinnett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lakesha Henry.

Lakesha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in the city of Doraville. My grandmother always used to take me to get my nails and my hair done. She made sure me and my sister always looked good. So I grew up always analyzing people trying to see what I could do differently with them. My family and I were on the Iyanla Fix My Life show, which caused a lot of turmoil in my life. However, in the midst of me and my family becoming homeless, my parents getting a divorce ,and our horrific car accident , I was able to graduate high school. I then attended beauty school at Keune Academy by 124 that same year in the winter and graduated ten months later at the top of my class. I am now a master cosmetologist and I am coming up on my third year anniversary in January. I am truly grateful for the beauty Industry and Ms. Madam C.J. Walker. I live through her everyday. My life long dream is to open a full-service beauty bar in Beverly Hills and I would also like to open a beauty school for all the girls who cannot afford tuition. My name is Lakesha Denise Henry and I am The Flawless Butterfly Effect by Lakesha.

Has it been a smooth road?
No it hasn’t ,My parents filed for a divorce when I was 17 the divorce became final when I was 19 . My family became homeless when i was 16 and then we were IYANLA FIX MY LIFE. So I went through a lot of chaos and painful emotions . I now use these incidents to give me power to fulfill my dreams.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business focuses on basic hair care needs. I have a passion and a true talent for color. I am most proud of my business because I can always revert back to a student to consistently learning. I am different from others because I give my heart away through each one of my services. My clients are my angels and I love every single one of them .

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I honestly think most of the product lines are going to produce more textured hair care products.
