Meet LaNise Thrasher of The Love Cheerleader®

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaNise Thrasher.

LaNise Thrasher

Hi LaNise, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, my name is LaNise Thrasher, aka The Love Cheerleader®! I’m an Author, Speaker, and Certified Life Coach dedicated to teaching women how to find their rhythm after divorce and breakups. Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved seeing people in love. It warmed my heart and naturally made me the “go-to” person for those in unhealthy relationships.

Years later, I experienced love and marriage myself. However, five years into my marriage, I made the painful decision to get divorced. It was one of the most challenging decisions of my life, filled with fear, uncertainty, and a profound sense of loss. Despite my therapist’s assurance that I would be okay, I felt lost and unsure of how to move forward.

For two years, I embarked on a healing journey with God as my foundation. In addition to God, I tried therapy, confided in family and friends, and read numerous self-help books to assist me on this journey. Through this process, I discovered what worked best for me and realized that my healing journey could have been shorter with a structured roadmap. So I created a roadmap and started sharing it with women when they asked me to help them get through a painful divorce or breakup. Through prayer and reflection, I understood that God was calling me to share my healing process with other women.

Helping women through their healing journeys has been the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done. Although the seed to help people heal was planted in me as a child, it was through my pain as an adult that I truly found my purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not! While I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to help women transform their lives, the road has been anything but smooth.

One of the biggest challenges was figuring out how to start a business that could effectively help women heal. I wasn’t sure what this would look like, so I initially relied on trial and error, watching what others were doing instead of focusing on what felt right for me. Eventually, I realized I needed assistance and hired several different coaches to help me identify blind spots and grow my business. While some coaches were more interested in my money than in truly helping me, others provided invaluable support and guidance, which was the biggest blessing ever!

Lesson learned: Find a coach who is genuinely interested in you and your vision.

Another struggle I faced was the lack of a community of like-minded individuals to bounce ideas off of. When you start a new venture, it’s easy to feel like you’re in it alone. However, as I began to meet other coaches and attend events, I found several people who became part of my “business tribe.” We supported each other, encouraged one another, and created a sense of community that was essential to my growth and success.

Despite these challenges, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. The struggles I’ve faced have helped me grow as a person, deepen my faith, and become a more effective coach. Every obstacle I’ve overcome has only reinforced my commitment to this sacred work.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Love Cheerleader®?
My business is dedicated to helping women find their rhythm after divorce and breakups. I specialize in providing a safe, supportive space for women to process their experiences, heal from emotional pain, and rediscover their strength and purpose.

What sets me apart as a coach is my deep understanding of the unique challenges women face after divorce and breakups, as well as my commitment to providing not just practical tools but also spiritual guidance and support. I believe that true healing involves nurturing the mind, body, and soul, and I incorporate prayer, scripture, and faith-based principles into my coaching to help women reconnect with their faith and find strength in God’s love.

I am proud to have created a brand known for its compassion, authenticity, and unwavering commitment to empowering women. Recently, I was honored to receive the Atlanta Top 40 Vision Something Award in March 2024 for my work in transforming women and making a positive impact in their lives. Receiving this recognition was such a blessing and reinforced that I am exactly where God wants me to be.

Through my coaching programs, workshops, speaking engagements, and books, I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental community where women can find the resources, support, and inspiration they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Whether you’re just beginning your healing journey or you’re ready to take bold steps toward a new life, my offerings are designed to meet you where you are and provide the guidance and tools you need to move forward with confidence and grace. I have an in-person event coming up on August 24, 2024, titled “Break Up with Heartbreak: Luncheon and Workshop.” During my workshop, I will teach women how to break up with all of the things that have been breaking their hearts and start a new chapter in their lives. This event is not just about learning and growth but also about community and connection. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their stories, support one another, and find strength in the collective power of women coming together to heal and thrive.

Above all, I want your readers to know that healing is possible, and they don’t have to navigate this challenging time alone. With the right support, tools, and mindset, they can emerge from the pain of divorce or a breakup stronger, wiser, and more committed to creating a life they love. That’s the mission behind everything I do, and I’m honored to walk alongside women on this transformative journey.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor and building a strong network has been pivotal in my journey, and I’m excited to share what has worked for me:

1. Clarify Your Goals: Before seeking a mentor, take time to understand your goals and aspirations. Knowing what you want to achieve helps you find a mentor who aligns with your vision and can guide you effectively.

2. Do Your Research: Look for individuals who have achieved what you aspire to. Attend industry events, join relevant online communities, and follow thought leaders in your field. Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn are great tools for finding potential mentors and understanding their backgrounds.

3. Build Genuine Relationships: Networking isn’t just about what you can gain but also about what you can offer. Approach potential mentors with genuine interest in their work and a willingness to learn. Engage with their content, participate in discussions, and show appreciation for their insights.

4. Be Persistent and Patient: Building meaningful connections takes time. Be patient and persistent in your efforts. Follow up with people you meet, express your interest in learning from them, and stay connected through regular updates.

5. Seek Diverse Perspectives: Don’t limit yourself to one mentor. Seek advice from multiple sources to gain a well-rounded perspective. Different mentors can offer insights on various aspects of your personal and professional life.

By being proactive, respectful, and open to learning, you can build a strong network of mentors and peers who support your journey. Remember, networking is a two-way street – always be ready to offer help and support to others as well.
