Today we’d like to introduce you to Larnell Burton.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Also, know as Eastside Lotto. I’m a self-taught Audio engineer and music artist from Southeast of Washington D.C. I originally came to Georgia because home was getting too dangerous and trouble couldn’t stop finding me. My pops took interest in Atlanta a lot, and seen the possibilities & opportunity here and made the move in 2010. Since then I’ve graduated from Marietta HS in 2012
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
“Haters”
– And finding producers, finding studio time. Which made me teach myself.
– Alot of self-destruction, loss of self-motivation, self-doubt. And bad energies. Had to cleanse myself of all of that negative and start a stronger path.
Please tell us about Forever Solid Entertainment.
I started recording music seriously because I was always writing and free-styling for fun growing up. I felt studio’s and engineers couldn’t grasp the style and direction I was heading with my music so I started to record myself using Mixcraft. A friend name Rich Logan told me about the program and the basics to use it and left the ball in my court to continue. I begin to dig deeper into the program and software developers and found plug in’s and (vst’s) to enhance the function of the program, as far as audio engineering effects to mixing and mastering audio, and sound production. I’m dropping three music projects this year and recently dropped my single “state two state” on all music streaming platforms including visuals from the three projects and single itself is soon to drop as well. My music sparked another idea which made wonder into the business side of it and started learning the copyright and publishing stages, to the Original master carries, etc. I used all the tools I learned to start “forever solid Entertainment” Record Label & Clothing brand. Unofficially release of sampled good and catalog this will began this year. Clothing brand is officially set to drop early next year.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
