Lashae, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started doing hair when I was in the 8th grade, at first I use to practice on all my friends until just one day I was like imma keep at this. I was 15 when I first began doing hair and I’m 23 now, I can say my business has grown over the course of my life and I’m thankful than ever! How I got here today was constantly believing in myself and staying down for not only me but my babies too, because they are the reason why I do all of this, I want them to know they can do whatever it is they want and do whatever they put their mind too!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, I have had some negative and some positive vibes when it comes to something’s but I just take it all in and learn from everything I do! Some struggles where sometimes juggling work and doing hair and also raising two children. With the help of my business website, I’m able to schedule at different times and days to work around me or my client’s schedule…
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about LUSCIOUSK – what should we know?
My business is my best friend. I take everything I do so serious about this because I want to be BIG one day! I do braids (small, medium sizes), locs, twist, and mink lash extensions! I am known for the locs though because everybody loves them and they are selling! I enjoy doing each client’s hair and seeing them love it every time! I’m most proud of my brand because I see how much I’ve grown over the years and I can say I see all the support I get from each and everyone and that’s what makes me so proud. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t just do one thing I have many different styles you can choose from.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being able to meet new clients because they can bring you more people and that expands my business & also giving them what they want because people pay for what they want!
