Meet Latasha E. Davis of Reset Mondays

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latasha E. Davis.

Hi Latasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, there is so much I could say; beginning with I’m a southern girl from the M-I- crooked letter, crooked letter I State. After graduating college, I spent the first portion of my professional life providing training at the corporate level. While I had achieved my goal of working for a Fortune 500 company I was not completely fulfilled. I believed God had a greater purpose for me and I soon followed the pulling in my heart and gave up an almost six-figure job to pursue what I believed to be “my purpose”. There is a strange thing about discovering your purpose and then following the road that leads to it.

Everything isn’t as euphoric as it feels when you’ve accepted the call. I experienced quick changes in my social life. My new “calling” didn’t provide enough resources to continue daily dining with friends and trips to where my heart led. I had to return to school to further my education, and take a job that was “beneath” a pay level which I had become accustomed to. My new place of employment would become the runway for me to take off into a destiny God designed just for me. Sure, I had some days when waking up to this new “purpose-filled life made me want to run back to a life filled with money, benefits, and basically the easy road; however, when I decided to stop looking in the rearview mirror of a life that was only meant to be the training ground for my future success, it was then I began to travel the road of destiny.

I began to understand that my purpose consisted of ministry, giving back to others in the form of teaching and guiding. I didn’t have the bank account of my dreams, but I was experiencing life with joy, a sense of honor, and the grace and peace that allowed me to be available for full-time ministry. This little girl from the south, who experienced the hand of God at a young age, had jumped right into the purpose God designed and was loving it. I began to realize there was more and as I journeyed through both good and bad days, meeting people who wanted my assistance and guidance and then God gave me “Reset Mondays”. Of course, he gave me this platform, it was the very thing I had experienced through daily trials and found that my resets were my setups to continue on a larger scale of mentoring and providing guidance to individuals who are not moving forward in life.

Life is meant to be lived and everyone could use a good “Reset”, I just chose to let it begin on Mondays. I have a motto ” If I stay humble under whatever circumstance I’m in, my season of harvest will come”. My harvest is here and I am thankful I let God reset my life so that I can empower others to do the same. Today, as a businesswoman, author, pastor, speaker, and philanthropist I can say that trusting God and resetting my own life has been the key to the new joys in my current and future life. My core values have propelled my educational career earning a Master’s in Business Admin, a Masters in Practical Theology and Christian Education while I continue working towards a doctorate degree in Leadership and Christian Education. The journey continues.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The shift and change has not been easy or smooth. I wish I could say that following the voice of God and uprooting your life was easy. It has been far from that. However, one thing I have learned is that nothing great comes without obstacles and challenges! I would encourage every reader reading this to continue to follow the voice of God. Yes, it may seem unclear and moving at a slow pace, the joy on the other side is worth it all. Giving up is not an option, for that is when things begin to turn around. You are closer than you think! Challenges and obstacles help to build character and endurance. So, while you are waiting, remember this, Isaiah 49:2 says, “For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.

We’ve been impressed with Reset Mondays, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In March 2020, I launched Reset Mondays, a motivational platform that allows her to connect, encourage and inspire viewers to transform all aspects of their life. Using my wisdom and experience, as a speaker, ordained preacher, certified etiquette consultant, and businesswoman, I help guide and teach others the skills they need to help reset their week to reach an optimal mind, body, and spirit. A true leader allows someone to mentor and aid them to be the best individual for the team they are leading. Reset Mondays is for anyone and everyone who wants to pick up their purpose and go for it. Reset Mondays provides practical tools and weekly mentoring to help an already purpose-filled person achieve success.
