Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTasha and Steven Parkmond.
LaTasha and Steven, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Our story started in high school where we met and we became high school sweethearts. We always spoke about owning our business and helping people along the way in bringing their dreams to reality. We are a family business, a husband and wife team who loves everything about the North and South (husband is from Connecticut and I am from Georgia)… HINT the name, Peachy Brass! Our passions are in writing, graphic design, football and apparel for sports teams, businesses or individuals. Our business really formed when our friends and family came to us for custom apparel, team spirit wear and business branding. Our business continues to grow each week from happy customers and referrals.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Owning our own business has some challenges, but with faith, dedication and a mindset on a positive outcome it helps to smooth the bumps in the road. A challenge we have faced was the impact Covid-19 took on our business. Schools, businesses and local recreation parks closed, leaving us without business from the community, local sports teams for spirit wear or business products. It was a true eye-opener and rebranding when handling business loss.
Peachy Brass – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in our Peachy Brass brand, custom products, team apparel, spirit wear for families, business branding and books. We are most known for our graphic designs (sports edits), published books, banners and apparel. We are proud to offer our customers a range of products and one-offs to be different or have something no one else has in their wardrobe, business or home. What sets us apart from others we are a husband and wife team that believes in providing our customers with the Peachy Brass experience that allows them to fall in love with a design idea they may or may not have before visiting us. Along with our business, we are also an author and illustrator with published children’s books and inspirational books.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is being able to tell our story, accomplishments, offer advice and seeing where we started and where we are currently in our life and business. Success is about bringing happiness to our customers and loving what we do in and for our business. We are always looking at what we can do today to WOW our current and future customers tomorrow.
