Meet LaTisha Jenkins of Eye Beauty Atlanta in Johns Creek

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTisha Jenkins.

LaTisha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m the owner of Eye Beauty Atlanta (soon to be Ambition SMP). I specialize in permanent cosmetic make up for eyebrows and I am a certified Scalp Micropigmentation Tech.

When I personally discovered permanent cosmetics, I saw my own transformation. I had micro blading done and it boosted my confidence, and at that moment, a vision appeared. I knew that this new-found craft would ultimately change lives of men and women and I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to inspire men and women to own their confidence and not live behind a curtain.

I left a 20+ year career in Information Technology to become my own business boss. Let me tell you, it was a difficult decision to leave a steady paycheck. I have trained with the top Microblading Agency in the US and trained with the best in Scalp Micropigmentation….and the rest has been history!

I am an Atlanta based licensed, trained and certified in Cosmetic Makeup. It is my goal to be the leading PMU artist for brow rehab and dominate the Scalp Micropigmentation service! Come see me if you want hyper-realistic results that’s guaranteed to boost your confidence.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Entrepreneurship has not been a smooth ride for me. I had to learn through trial and error from business acumen, techniques, and customer service. I started my business with my own money and no help from additional resources. Some of the struggles at first I was only doing this part-time while still maintaining a full-time job, being a mother and a wife. Technically I had four job roles I had to play most of the time simultaneously. When faced with roadblocks, I wanted to give up but through tenacity, I found a way or with the assistance of others through networking.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Eye Beauty Atlanta story. Tell us more about the business.
I own a permanent cosmetic tattoo studio. I specialize in eyebrows and scalp (hairlines, edges, crowns, scalp scars). I tell my eyebrow clients I do not create ‘Instagram brows’, but brows that are individually you. Most if not all are seeking realistic results.

What set’s me apart from others in my industry is not only do I create hyper-realist results, but I’m also a teacher. I want to educate my clients on their service and generally inquire why they seek my service. Most of them are suffering from some kind of hair loss or thinning hair. Most women do not know how to map their brows.

Many of my clients ask why I’m not a trainer and I let them know at the moment, I’m here for them and I truly want to master my craft.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not believe in luck. A definition of luck is: success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actions.

My own action(s) have led me to where I am today. I call it Ambition, which will be the new name of my company. I’m determined to success and every action, task, decision I make have lead me to where I am now. Am I where I want to be, no, but I’m succeeding with every step I take to make sure I dominate this industry.
