Today we’d like to introduce you to Latoya Chambliss.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Latoya. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After graduation from FAMU in Tallahassee, FL, I started a boutique PR agency in order to add to my resume and gain more experience. After taking on clients, I decided to join the workforce and apply for positions in bigger cities. After 2 years of applying and over 50 + rejections, I received an opportunity to work as an account intern at FleishmanHillard in Atlanta assisting with various national accounts.
Upon leaving FleishmanHilliard, I went on to work at two more highly successful agencies in the city of Atlanta and gained my PR wings handling large client accounts in lifestyle, entertainment, beauty, tech and franchise. While at the agencies I worked very hard as a senior level employee but I also knew owning my own company would be my end result.
In 2017, I knew it was time to branch out and leave the agency I was with. After only 5 months into the position, I was done with corporate agency life and decided to pursue my dream full-time of entrepreneurship. Today I am the proud owner of Bliss Consulting Services, Inc. and from that day in 2017, I’ve never looked back.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Plentyyyyyy of obstacles! I’ve changed my daily routines, habits, and perspective tremendously over the course of transitioning from a worker to CEO. I’ve battled with depression since 2011 and it’s made my journey a little more difficult because for many years it held me back from being my best self.
On top of depression, I’ve experienced many uncomfortable times in which I was without a job, barely making money to pay bills and totally self-sabotaging myself because of where I was mentally.
I remember stating in late 2016 how 2017 was my year to get uncomfortable in order to grow. Always remember what you put out into the universe, because it came back around and became my truth.
In taking on being uncomfortable, I began to shift my thinking and changing many habits in order to rise higher. I poured so much into myself. I’m so grateful for the struggles because they have literally pushed me to another level mentally, physically and spiritually. There is so much beauty in the struggle!
We’d love to hear more about your business.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was the outgoing, bossy, middle child. I knew from an early age what I wanted in life and never let fear paralyze me in obtaining those things. I was my mother’s social butterfly, very intelligent and well-spoken. I’m a Gemini so I also have different sides to me. I was interested learning, dancing and always had a thing for making others feel good about themselves.
