Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTrisha Adams.
LaTrisha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Hi. I am LaTrisha Adams, serial entrepreneur, financial advisor, and mother of four! I was born and raised in Albany, GA. In school, I took a liking to programs such as DECA, which further lead to becoming a member of the National Honor Society. I’ve always had a love for anything business and finance! At the age of 17, I became a young mother to my first daughter (Zariyah). Despite of, I was able to graduate from high school and attend a technical college shortly after. Fast forward to 2014, I’ve added three more children to the clan (Nadiya, Aubriella, & Kaiden) and two degrees along with it. This includes a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration/Management & MBA in Public Administration. Fall of 2016, I decided to pack up the kids and head to Atlanta after a career in the medical field. Things didn’t pan out as expected and left this single mother in a world of turmoil. I was overtaking the bad end of the stick and wanted more for my children. I got my start in the world of entrepreneurship as a credit repair specialist. It was a good side hustle and income was fair.
Next, I decided to become a licensed life insurance agent to further the need for my clientele. The business really took off to the point where I quit my job to launch LaTrisha Adams, LLC. I had a blast being home more with the kids and working for myself but there was no real structure, Before long, I was back employed with a 9-5. I enjoyed the security blanket, however, it was never enough. Later, I added on tax preparation to my company, which was a thriving factor to the business. I’m all for building and helping the next person, regardless of the status I’m at in life. I had to fulfill the need of teaching others how to bring an additional stream of income into their household. This is when I started my company LA Tax Services, to allow others to sell tax software and prepare taxes for financial gain from scratch. Business thrived so much to the point where the company touched six figures this year. The goal is to further the impact by continuing to grow the company and invest in need-based businesses.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, not ever. I grew up beating the odds dealing with sickle disease most of my life. It was not common “by Man” for me to live this long, but GOD had other plans for me. I was told I couldn’t birth children but brought four into this world. As a single mother, life has been something else, to say the least. It’s a different type of hurt when you are going through depression, evictions, repossessions, disconnections, and the liking with your kids. Trying to be the perfect role model, financially support, and provide, while not letting up on my life goals. I had to get creative quick! Having to work, go to school, and manage businesses around my kids. With GOD, I’ve been able to get it done.

Where they were able to use the revenue and invest into actual businesses they are passionate about, such as boutiques, consulting, cosmetics, and trucking companies. This is what sets us apart from everyone. We pour an enormous amount of valuable information into our clients and partners to assist them in reaching their full potential. The goal is for all to be financially free.

First and foremost, GOD. He gets the glory for it all. For the wisdom, strategies, and determination to never give up on the vision. Next, it would be my children. They are who I do it for. All the heartaches, worry, stress, tears… I’ll take it all over again because it births this incredible person everyone sees today. They’ve literally endured it all with me while “I was shooting in the gym” lol! My mom would follow up after them. She definitely set the bar high being the Nurse Practitioner extraordinaire, Doctorate degree holder, and bakery business owner. Then my dad for always instilling in me to bet on no one but myself and I did just that. My baby brother brings out the subtle and humbling spirit out of me. To always remind me I’m a dope person and that I’m enough! And lastly, my Pastors, my girl tribe, my supporters that always push me to go after everything life has to offer and more.
