Meet Lauren Fici of In An Instant in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Fici.

Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I launched my event planning business in February 2017. I have always enjoyed planning bridal showers, birthday parties, weddings, and baby showers for my friends so I thought I should take it to the next level. I started working as a staff member at Stone Creek Inn in Rockmart, Georgia in March 2016 and fell in love with weddings. The owner of Stone Creek Inn, Debra Nelson, has taken me under her wing and coached me in the successes of the wedding planning industry. She really has become a mentor throughout this adventure. Once I decided to make my own business I was able to meet many vendors and we were able to learn from each other. I could not have created this business without the support of my husband, family, and wonderful friends along with the amazing people I have met through Stone Creek Inn.

Has it been a smooth road?
With starting any business you are presented with new challenges. Work/life balance and time management are two key components that require a steady hand on the wheel. This is something that I am working on every day.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the In An Instant story. Tell us more about the business.
In An Instant is an event planning company. I have coordinated/planned weddings, rehearsals, luncheons, baby showers, bridal showers, corporate gatherings, graduation parties, grand opening, and also floral arrangements.

I am most proud of the wedding I planned in the Amalfi Coast, Italy this past September. I was able to book vendors, communicate by email and phone, work on a detailed timeline all while keeping the bride and groom informed. I coordinated this wedding all remotely from the States. The wedding turned out perfect and I still keep in touch with every vendor. The bride wrote me the best review I have ever received.

I believe communication is key. I respond very quickly and coordinate with every vendor in a detailed and responsive manner. I make sure each vendor knows their time of arrival and what they are responsible for. Whether its text, phone call, email, Facebook, or Instagram I am proactive in my response- In An Instant!

What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
I hope to book more destination events and hire staff to expand my company.
