Meet Lauren Hunt of HOTT Theatre for Children in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Hunt.

Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started introducing live theater to 4-year-olds at a Private school 9 years ago, and they fell in love with it. Many of my parents encouraged me to move forward and open my own theater. Rashan Ali was a huge supporter during that time, so she told me to step out and do it.

I started with 9 kids back in August 2014. God blessed me to grow by word of mouth, so we now train over 20 children in the entertainment business. The goal is to help build their confidence today, to help create their success for tomorrow. HOTT represents Hunt’s Over the Top Theater for Children. We are a household name thanks to the many families backing this brand.

My family has been a huge support system for this business as well. My best friend Richard Reynolds has been there from the beginning. He is an instructor at HOTT Theatre. Cheryl, my sister, stepped in as the Office Manager and has helped propel this business to the next level. We have a show coming out in September called HOTT Talk Tv.

It can be found on YouTube, as well as all Smart T.V.s. ON Network, created by Mo Woods. These kids are destined for greatness, and will soon be worldwide.

Has it been a smooth road?
No path in life is smooth. I have lost dear friends and many relationships with people I’ve known for years because I committed everything to run a successful business. There have been many people who showed up with their own ulterior motives, so it has not been a smooth ride, but it has been worth it.

I’ve worked with some phenomenal kids, so the backbiting from parents or lies told to tear down our brand has only inspired me to continue working hard for the kids that depend on me at HOTT.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with HOTT Theatre for Children – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Unlike other acting classes, HOTT Theatre aims to be personal by making classes smaller so instructors can guarantee one on one time with each child. We thrive on instilling the love of God in our children so when they go out into the world, everyone will see the same sparkle we do.

HOTT Theatre was created by Lauren Hunt on the premises of setting children up for success in the entertainment industry. Through classes once a week, Lauren touches each child, personally with lessons on how to succeed in a room full of casting directors, or just adults that want to know more about them. HOTT Theatre is more than just a company that helps child actors, it is a brand that is on its way to becoming a household name.

I am most proud of the family environment that my parents at HOTT have established since being open. They truly love each other’s Kids. These children have worked in major films and one of them can be found around town on billboards, but the other families do not treat them any different than they do their own child(ren).

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that we create opportunities for anybody!! This is the new Hollywood, so the goal is to get to Atlanta, so we can “make it”. I, of course, dislike the traffic, but I’ve learned to leave early in order to arrive on time.
