Meet Lauren Robbins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Robbins of Lauren Robbins Interiors.

Lauren, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began my post-collegiate career as an event planner in New York City. Not only was it a wonderful way to explore the sights of a new city, but it was also a lesson in learning how to completely transform a space. My team would walk through a rustic, brick loft one week and transform it into a linen-draped wedding venue the next. The transformation process and end result captured me, and I knew immediately working in a career that would improve the aesthetic and function of a space was where I needed to be.

After my husband and I were married, his job transferred us to Augusta, Georgia. Once we were settled, I went to work for an event planner who helped me grow not only in my event expertise but also taught me the ropes of interior design. From fabrics to wallpapers to art, I loved the hunt and challenge of finding pieces that were unique and made a project stand out from the rest. To this day, that is what I value the most in my projects. Uniqueness. I want my clients’ homes to stand apart from others and speak to their individuality.

Has it been a smooth road?
If you love something, it always makes it easier when challenges present themselves. Not being from Augusta, I have had to work hard to make a name for myself. I love challenging my clients to think outside of the box and push themselves to take risks in the name of design for the things they love. Whether it is a funky piece of furniture or a great piece of art, my goal is to have clients trust me. Giving up control can be hard for a client but once they do and let us do what we do best, the result is truly magical.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Lauren Robbins Interiors story.
At Lauren Robbins Interiors, we have always been known for our individuality. We truly pride ourselves on creating homes that reflect the taste and experiences of our clients and we love to source items you won’t see everywhere. It may take a little more time and effort, but we want the homes we create to feel curated and collected. It is important to us that our clients feel like we understand them, their goals, and their history so the end result has depth and tells a story.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Technology is constantly evolving, and the way we communicate with clients will evolve as well. Right now, social media means business. Today it is Instagram, but who knows what the next app of the future will be. Regardless of how you communicate with your audience, making sure your followers feel connected to you on a business and personal level is key. That being said, I think it is important to stay true to your roots and remember what it was that got you where you are today. For Lauren Robbins Interiors, originality is what got us here, and it will continue to be the driving force behind everything we do business wise.
