Meet Lavish Kiddo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lavish Kiddo.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lavish Kiddo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I discovered my love for music in middle school. My favorite rap artists growing up were Lil Wayne and Young Thug growing up. They inspired the way I rap today. I grew up on the Southside of Atlanta. I didn’t really go through a struggle but I always had to work 10 times harder for everything in life because I’m looked upon as the underdog. I started taking rap serious when I got in high school. I did a show for V103’s Dj, Dj Jelly. I performed my song “Juice.” At that time, it was unreleased but when I got to the 2nd Hook, the crowd was saying my lyrics word for word. That’s when I knew I wanted to rap. It took repetition to get where I’m at today and that’s what keeps me going. I’m about to go global.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It became harder for me when I witnessed my grandma last second of life right in front of me. I became distant from everything and everybody at that point in my life, but then it made me stronger. It help me add emotions into my music and made go 100% harder with everything I did.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of?       Rapping came easy to me so I stuck with it. Everybody says I always have catchy lyrics and a great flow. I’m currently working on my 3rd mixtape “Product Of Atlanta.” I love my city so I felt the need to rep it through music. I’m proud of how far I’ve came and the people I touch with my music. I have a song for every mood and feeling.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?

I would know what to spend. Some things in this rap industry are fake and you have to watch out for that. You have to put money into this business but you have to make sure you make the right investment or you can end up losing money.
