Meet Lazell Brown of Fourth Quarter Fitness in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lazell Brown.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lazell. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Ever since I was young Football was my passion. The NFL was the end. I had the attributes, 4.35 40 yard dash. 34inch vertical and the football instincts for my favorite football player, Troy Polamalu. While living in California I was playing semi pro football and I had a moment while on the field. I asked myself, “Do I want to do this to my body for the next ten to fifteen years?”. While standing on the field, I made my decision. I let it all go. But with that decision came a situation I was ready for, figuring out which path I was going to take next. What was I passionate about other that football? Then it hit me. Film had been apart of my life before I even touch a football, I just didn’t realize it until that moment.

So at the age of 22, my acting career was began. Although I’m not as far along in my career as I would like to be, I’ve been blessed to experience so much in this industry. A few things as small things as living in LA and seeing studios, To bigger things like being cast on big projects. I believe with T.I. Cobra Kai on YouTube Red. Swap Murders on Discovery Channel. Lead role in a feature film called Sustained which recently acquired distribution. Commercials in SF for the NBA etc. I’ve also been fortunate to work on huge sets like The Black Panther. Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ivan, to The Darkest Minds and meeting Angela Bassett, Whoopi Goldberg, Omari Hardwick, Chris Rock, Dondre Whitfield, Tyler Perry, to Chadwick Boseman.

So long story short… film is the endgame. I love to create! Fitness is also something that stays on the brain. It’s always taken for granted until something happens to you. And that’s why Personal training is so important to me. I see others and I see the potential of a healthier lifestyle. Goals that people have always wanted to meet but didn’t know how to or push to. I love the thought of giving someone new life, building confidence, improving health, and transforming them into something they’ve always wanted to be. That’s why I started Fourth Quarter Fitness.

Has it been a smooth road?
Oh, it’s definitely been some rough times. Anyone in the film industry knows that it can be far and few in between with work and it can flow steady for months. You just never know how it’s going to go. So making the decision to work a 9 to 5 is always rough for an actor, especially when you’re a husband and a Father. God seems to always provide ways for me, and for that I’m grateful. My faith in his plan is what keeps me going.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m an Actor and a Personal Trainer.

I specialize in storytelling and helping others transform themselves to a more healthier and fit them.

What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’m actually doing what I have a passion for. I enjoy what I do!

What sets me apart is my own journey. My personal experiences is what helps shape my careers and the paths I take.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
As far as acting. Film will forever be here! Storytelling is how express ourselves and others experience. It’s been here since the beginning and the desire for it will increase.

As for Fitness. I’m noticing that people are learn more about health and importance of it. I’m also seeing the hunger for transformation and growth with people and their health.
