Meet Leah Koch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Koch. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Leah Koch’s fitness journey began in Florida when she would join her mom (and be the youngest one!) at Jazzercise. She then moved to Chicago, where she was a professional dancer and earned her first fitness license in 2012. Since then, Leah has continued teaching fitness, holding an active AFAA Group Fitness Certification and licenses to teach POUND®, POUND Unplugged, and PomSquad Fitness®. She even has taught over 450 virtual classes since the start of the pandemic! Recently becoming a new mom, Leah now continues to teach virtually and in-person for pop-up events partnering with local businesses. Leah loves bringing her contagiously positive energy to inspire her classes to feel confident, strong, and like they are enough.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The pandemic and having to learn how to bring the fitness experience to the virtual space was a huge learning curve!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in bringing contagiously positive fitness experiences to people, currently teaching POUND, POUND Unplugged, and PomSquad classes. These classes invite participants to connect, channel their inner rockstar or cheerleader, and empower their full selves. I’m known as the contagiously positive fitness rebel in the fitness community.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’ve taught fitness classes for over a decade, but my day job is marketing for exhibitions like Harry Potter: The Exhibition (I’m a Slytherin!).
