Thanks for sharing your story with us Leslie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Sure, I started Pampered Spaces last year after sitting on the idea for years. My mom and I wanted to start a cleaning service back in 2011 but it never came to fruition. We had the website domain reserved all this time and finally, I decided to pull the trigger. I believe everything happens as it should since technology has advanced so much, making the booking process for services so seamless now. I’m a REALTOR, so our cleaning service is the perfect complement.
Pampered Spaces is a cleaning and organization service that allows you time back into your day to get back to the things you enjoy. This era we’re in is filled with entrepreneurs and people that are goal-oriented, so we take care of their homes and offices so they can concentrate on changing the world. We also have a special love for moms looking to gain a few hours to themselves from their selfless sacrifices and senior citizens that are now enjoying their golden years.
As we were gaining a momentum Covid-19 hit and like most in our industry, we were hit pretty hard. I’d say mainly because we wanted to concentrate on the safety of our clients and cleaners as further details were being uncovered about the virus. We used the downtime for education on CDC recommendations and securing our foundation. We had clients to reach out and ask if we were cleaning and that felt good to be missed, but we knew the bigger picture was to come back better and stronger.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Wow, I’d say it was pretty smooth for the fact that I didn’t discuss this business with anyone, so I didn’t have the pressure of being a certain way or meeting any expectations. Covid-19 was definitely a different beast but we took those lemons and we’re making lemonade out of them. We were recently approved for relief, so we’re excited about using those resources to continue moving the business forward.

Pampered Spaces is a cleaning and organization company and we give our clients time back into their days by taking care of their homes and offices. The average person spends 6-8 hours a week cleaning, which is 96 hours a year. This may not seem like a lot but consider the fact that you sleep 7-9 hours a day, work 8-12 depending on what you do, and then you have a family, hobbies, goals to achieve, etc. Research has also shown that a clean space helps in stress relief and overall well being. I’d say I’m most proud that my team and I are giving people their time back and that I’m offering an opportunity for my cleaners to provide for their families.
I’d say what sets us apart is our commitment to the customer experience. It is extremely important to us that we are providing a top-notch service, seamless transaction and we’re utilizing technology.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a mess. I forced my cousins to play business with me and they’ve reminded me of this. One of my aunts had a church that was once an office space and the previous tenants had left everything behind. So in the back offices, I was in heaven with business cards, note pads… everything I needed to pretend I was a boss. In my mind, I didn’t quite fit in with my friends and was almost peculiar, but as an adult, I’ve embraced that.
