Leslie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since I was 7 year’s old, I’ve always had a sense of fashion. I always said one day, I would have my clothing line. As a kid from the eastside of Oklahoma City, I wanted a name for my brand that represented the struggle and pain. Something I could use to empower other’s just like myself to follow their dreams and to overcome obstacles. I came up with X Nihilo Clothing Brand pronounced Ex Nihilio means “out of nothing” in Latin. I want people to know you may very well be going through something now, but the struggle doesn’t last forever. If you find something you love and stick to it, everything will pay off.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. I went through a lot of people trying to get the type of prints that I wanted. Because I always knew how I wanted my brand to look. So I had to cut out the middle man and began printing our merch. My mother always taught me when I was younger: If you want something done, do it yourself!!!!!

X Nihilo Clothing Brand is an online streetwear brand of empowerment. We specialize in custom apparel offering screen printing, vinyl, and embroidery on a variety of promotional products year-round. What sets us apart from the others is that we allow our customer’s to be in charge of their experience. They make their customs our business.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memories would have to be hanging out with all of my cousins during the summer. And spending time with my grandmother’s they were everything to me.
