Today we’d like to introduce you to Letrece Griffin.
Letrece, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
While attending Loyola University New Orleans, I shared an apartment with my older brother, Ontario Griffin. He is a musician and ran a studio out of our apartment. Because of that, I was exposed to many artists who needed the marketing services I was learning about at the time in school. I jumped right into offering services such as photography, media kits, press releases, etc. My senior year internship was with the radio station Q93, where I learned first-hand about street team promotions, back of stage concert operations, and marketing tactics. I took these experiences and used them to secure opportunities to offer marketing services for major corporations and nonprofit organizations such as The Raising Cane’s River Center, The YWCA, The Belle of Baton Rouge Casino & Hotel, and Knock Knock Children’s Museum.
Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not, lol … Often times, I was the youngest person, the only female, and or the only minority in the room of people making major decisions on behalf of an organization. I was usually second-guessed more often or overlooked in the beginning. It taught me that I had to be diligent and work harder to overcome preconceived notions and double standards.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with LetreceG Consulting – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
LetreceG Consulting is a boutique agency that offers services to clients looking for innovative marketing and branding campaigns. This ranges from a variety of services including event curation, public relations, social media and/or direct marketing, and image consulting. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse group of clients, including artists and entrepreneurs. I was the Executive Producer for PJ Morton’s “New Orleans Girl” Bounce Version Dance Video. I’ve also thrown concerts for artists such as Big Freedia, 112, Al Green, Bobby Rush, and Bilal. I also produced a Gospel concert series that showcased local and national artists. I am a public speaker and author of two books, “The G Code: 15 Keys to Successful Marketing & Branding,” and “The Write Way: A 21-Day Interactive Journey to Self-Love and Awareness.” I enjoy facilitating workshops to educate on communications and marketing principles. I am currently doing a multi-city southern regional tour of business mixers were attendees can network and get a free professional headshot. By utilizing my experience as a backdrop, I provide my clients with holistic service that generates lasting impressions and experiences rooted in excellence as the cornerstone.
