Letrice, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Hey World! I truly am, “A Sweet Georgia Peach” with southern hospitality. I was born and raised in Atlanta to my parents (Lenetta Everett and Richard Woodley). They are both Jack of All Trades and mastered them all. My mom’s a seamstress/crafter and my dad does it all from construction to drywall, painting to pluming and mechanic. Looking at them showed me that I can do anything. Most importantly, my faith and belief in Jesus Christ made me unstoppable. My faith let’s me know daily, “I can do Anything through Jesus Christ”. To my close friends and loyal customers, they know me as “Trice of All Trades”, you name it, I can do it. I am now the owner of three businesses. Fashion Plug Atl, Juiceful Cosmeticz, and DollFace USA! All of them are very meaningful to my life and tell my story of what I’ve been into since a pre-teen. My love for fashion and custom one of a kind items, my love for enhancing natural beauty and makeovers, and my love for anything bling!!! I specialize in bridal makeup and full makeovers from head to toe.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but as I said in my interview years ago at Walmart, I’m like “Fox 5”, DEDICATED, DETERMINED, and DEPENDABLE!!! I’ve stuck by that ever since I got the job at Walmart, before becoming a full time Entrepreneur. I opened my first location in Jonesboro, GA. I’ve had loyal clients since the beginning (2008), that continuously supported, but the location was just not a high traffic area. Business was still booming, but so was the overhead. So I decided to turn my business into a home based business and focus on online sales. It’s been successful ever since and I have no regrets.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fashion Plug Atl story. Tell us more about the business.
Fashion Plug Atl: Shows my skills for art, styling, crafting, photography, videography, enhancement, printing, and one of a kind custom items. I took three years of cosmetology in high school and later interned at “Hair Creations” on Old National. I was so grateful for the opportunity the beloved Troyce Williams gave me. It not only helped my skills but taught me great customer service as well.
I later went on to learn makeup to give customers the full vision of their new look. Makeup completely trumped hair, but I still love to do light styling and touch ups on hair. I label myself as the finisher (adding the finishing touches). I love working behind the scenes. At Fashion Plug Atl, I print business cards, custom t-shirts, kids apparel, and business branding items. For all of my businesses, I’m able to do 95% of the work myself. I took sewing lessons with my mother at Hobby Lobby and have now added seamstress to my many skills. I created Fashion Plug Atl to not only showcase my skills, but to Plug customers and potential customers into my many entrepreneur friends. What I don’t specialize in, they do.
What I am most proud of as a company, is my overall commitment to my customers and customer service. Sometimes I may overthink on certain orders because I aim for 100% satisfaction. In business, customer service is 1st in line. You want repeat customers. What I think sets me apart from others, is that I can be your one stop shop for EVERYTHING!!! If you need a photoshoot, I can shoot it for you, style your hair, makeup, clothes, and rent out custom luxury jewelry pieces.
Where do you see your business within the the next 5-10 years?
Within in the next 5-10 years, I see my company being on set of movies and TV shows. Whether it’s doing makeup, styling, or just to bring in my custom pieces, I’m there.
