Meet Lilit Pepeyan of LitwLilit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lilit Pepeyan.

Hi Lilit, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
LitwLilit was started through my love of all things home decor. Candles have always played a big part of my upbringing. One of my fondest memories with my mom and aunt were decorating for any holiday and candles were always on the top of their list. What I love about our molded/sculpted candles is that they are practical, beautiful, eco-friendly and most importantly smell amazing. I made sure quality was at the forefront of the product. All of our candles are free of all toxins, carcinogens and mutagens. All of our fragrances are blended in house therefore none of our candles can be replicated. Our candles are handmade and poured in small batches. The reason why I chose to specialize in molded candles was due to my desire to update my style frequently. I was able to create a product that not only smelled amazing but allowed people to express themselves freely. I love that you can go from a body candle feeling self-aware to a whimsical puppy candle or to an elegant candle at any given moment.

I would love to see LitwLilit grow and be offered at other retailers around the globe whilst keeping the integrity of the product at the forefront. I want our candles to be seen as a new way to light up your space. I know that scents can evoke memories and wanted to create the same thing for others. I love hearing all the stories when people smell my candles. It brings me back and validates the reason why I started this in the first place. I hope that LItwLilit can become a household name and bring you joy when you see the little white box. That’s how you know, its Lit…….with……….Lilit.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I started this business with a few thousand dollars and thought I would be up in running in no time. I quickly learned that I needed to scale back. My first year was spent trying to get to every single pop up shop there was, and through that, I learned the same thing never worked twice.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about LitwLilit?
LitwLilit is a candle company. We offer a variety of molded/sculpted candles sure to fit any of your style needs. I want my candles to take you to different places through the variety of scents. I love that each scent can evoke a different memory that will put you right back to that place.

I am most proud of my brand because it embodies who I am and who I want to become. A lot of my candles were created through talking, meeting and listening to my customers. I love that I stand true to who I am and in turn shows with the growth of my business, I want people to know that they can express themselves freely and I hope that my candles can help start that conversation. I have met some really amazing people along the way that have supported me in my journey. I am excited to get myself out-there and expand LitwLilit and offer more this coming year. I am so thankful to be given this opportunity and am so thankful that people get to see my dreams come to life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I am not sure if luck has played a role in my life, I think it is easy to blame luck when things don’t play out the way you expected however I believe everything in life happens for a reason. So, when things are tough, I always look at it as there was a reason for this and try to dissect and learn from the experience.
